Shouldn't you have said so to Otis before? ;)
Otis never mentioned his grammar. You were trying to defend your post by saying you couldn't be bothered to punctuate it but said punctuation would be incorrect

We don't talk to Otis that way.

Then do not talk to me that way, either.
In fact, do not talk to me AT ALL.
Thanks.
(Btw..that's not the first time I had to tell you that...)
This is a joke, right?

But it's not some random person, it Eric.
Precisely! He wrote three of the episodes. He worked on this season. He's about as biased towards what they're putting out as he possibly could be and even if he wasn't happy with the work, he's not in a position to bad-mouth any of it - at least not until the dust has settled regarding it and even then he'd have to be very diplomatic.

But it's not some random person, it Eric. I'm just saying that with three favorites from the same season could mean that there's some high quality stuff in there.
I think that's what the writers/producers must of said about Yo Leela Leela/ Holiday Craptacular
Eric actually did speak very favourably of "The Holiday Craptacular" before it aired.

Ooh, my first ever TOTPD:

Most of the 7A plots sound very good on paper. The same couldn't be said for many of the 6A plots.

Yeah.

I remember the premises for "Proposition Infinity" and "Attack of the Killer App" setting off alarm bells in my head as soon as I read them and were worse than I anticipated.

On the other hand, I expected all kinds of awesome from "The Late Philip J. Fry" and it delivered.

"The Thief of Baghead" sorta seems like filler to me. I don't know why, but it has that "Freedom Day" feeling to it.

I just recently saw this promo for Fox's 25th Anniversary Special and the promo featured a clip of Futurama. Looks fun.

Free Will Hunting is also written by David X. Cohen and should therefore be a determinant episode as Xmas Story and The Why of Fry

Again, how can you come to that conclusion?

I wasn't expecting anything SUPER great from Möbius Dick, I just expected it to be average, but it turned out to be my favourite episode ever...

So far, only "The Bots and the Bees" did ring alarm bells for me.
Somehow, I got a bad feeling about that episode...

I try not to form any opinions, or even feelings, based on the episode's title. Most of the titles are just ripoffs of old movies and books anyway (they think it's clever).

I have found that the titles can be deceiving compared to quality of content.  I had no idea what "The Late Philip J. Fry".  At one point I assume it was going to be something cheesy about him being dead and coming back.

"The Attack of the Killer App" had a catchy title, and could have been real fun had it been done as its name implied; in a 1950s monster film-like style.  I know, but didn't The Beast with a Billion Backs do that?  Not entirely, and also I am not saying an actual monster, just the app.

Anyway, it's how to make a prediction on a title alone.

A lot here will mention how they predicted and were right on titles alone, but notice all the titles and predictions they don't mention.  That's the real figure.

Well, I was gonna put a link of the promo from YouTube, but Fox did not upload it on there as of yet. Once they do, I'll put it up. The special will come on the 22nd of this month (a Sunday), so the promo should show up on YouTube pretty soon.

Not really directly-Futurama-related enough for the Futurama News thread:

Billy West and John DiMaggio (and a crapton of other voice actors) appearing in the documentary "I Know that Voice."

So... Fry and Leela were very briefly in tonights new Simpsons episode.

They were just standing on a moon... in space.... like space ghost.

I loved it.

Haha MuchAdo, you caught that as well?  Man I was hoping someone here saw that!  That totally rocked.  Just a few episodes ago, Bart was building a robot in his room and scattered over his desk were a bunch of robot magazines.  Sure enough, there's a picture of Bender smoking a cigar on one of the covers.  Leave it up to Matt Groening to pay homage to his neglected red-headed step child of a series. ;)  Come to think about it, tonight's outro with Fry and a frustrated looking Leela stranded on a moon of some sort is just eerie considering that this is the second time I've seen a Futurama reference this season... and I've rarely, if ever, seen a Futurama reference before in The Simpsons.  Foreshadowing anyone???

Also, I'm surprised how many people here don't believe Futurama will be extended passed season 7.  I firmly believe that the show will indeed go on.  Season 6 was a "dry run" with returning to television, and I believe the production studio only improved upon where they went wrong.  Sure season 6 had some bad episodes, but the good far outweighed the bad.  Episodes such as TLPJF can easily knock out two duds at once.

All I'm saying is don't be so bearish.  I maintain my view that season 7 will outperform based on the skill of the production staff.  Furthermore, I'm bullish on the show's outlook and firmly believe that there will be a season 8, assuming no extraneous risks (salary disputes, production strikes, etc.) materialize.

I believe even if Fox and CC think 7a and 7b do not end up performing up to standards for some bizzaro reason.. they'd (CC) probably still try and re-new it for a final run of 13, CC has more respect for it's shows than Fox.

I think there was an intro this season that featured the PE ship too, but I suspose that may have been last season... all the seasons blur together in my head.

I guess the alien code at the end said: Watch Futurama Thursdays.

Not only that, but the Lost parody that Homer got wrapped up in (entitled Stranded) used Futurama alien language:

WATCH FUTURAMA
THURSDAYS AT 10
(the zero symbol is missing the black dot, but it's pretty easy to figure that it's a zero)

Also, here's Fry and Leela. In their second long cameo, Fry blinks.

Just curious - why does the alien message say Watch Futurama Thursdays at 10?  To be honest, I became a serious fan of the show AFTER season six was completed.  Was 10 PM the time slot that new episodes were shown?

Thanks.

If they do not add or delete a new character to the crew it is ok with me to make new episodes, it would be awesome if they made an episode where there is a really big war between humans and robots. Season 7 we are coming!! :)
