I'm the same with Doctor Who, my friends think it's for 8 year olds and that anyone over that age are weirdos/freaks for watching it.

To quote my friend:

"{My last name}, I watched an episode of Futurama on CC; and it fucking sucked ass. Watch the show Good Vibes, that's funny shit. But not your gay crap."

Good Vibes, is in fact a terrible show. I'm actually a bit embarrassed to admit I like it because I hate being judged. "Oh, he likes that gay show Futurama." "Don't talk to him, he thinks Futurama is funny." "His favorite show is Futurama, what a loser."

Yeah...

The school system is in general a screwed up place. We send our kids off to be in the company of other kids all day, and under the supervision of authority figures who have no authority because we've stripped it from them.

Then again, immature behavior is what to expect from immature people (children). While looking down on them because they know how to be better than that but choose not to be.

I'm constantly made fun of cause I like Futurama...

I also have a weird problem where I take EVERYTHING to heart, as many of you on PEEL will know... It hurts a lot though, and I feel your pain SGB... :(

Same. Whenever someone says their opinion on something, I can't get it out. No matter what, I can rarely feel satisfied with my own opinion; because someone else's usually messes me up, and it's really stressful. Cyber_turnip is very hard to please, so I try to  not listen to his opinions. Well, at least Danny understands how it feels to take things to heart. :)

"Mmm... okay." :)

Last ep I watched was "The Silence of the Clamps" - CC should've opened with that episode instead of "Neutopia".

"Clampss.  Listen to my bosss wordss." :laff:

I watched "Attack of the Killer App" and "Lethal Inspection" yesterday, for the first time in about a year. Both episodes were better than I remembered them--which is saying a lot, since LI is one of my favorites of the new run (and the series in general), and I've always enjoyed AotKA more than most people. (For some reason, the, uh, oh-so-topical pop culture references in the latter episode don't bug me at all; they're still not terribly dated, and even if they were, I think I'd find them sort of quaint (similar to how I feel about the Napster lampoon in "I Dated a Robot").)

Anyway. I wonder if my opinion of season six as a whole might improve if I rewatch it now, after not having seen most of the episodes since last summer (if not farther back). Perhaps I ought to give the season a rewatch in preparation for Wednesday's premiere; lord knows I don't have anything more productive to do...

Seconded:) Sure the goat and butt-boil were rather primitive and gross...but that's exactly the kind of stuff that get popular on the internet very quickly, and therefore those were rather suitable references. Getting 1Mio followers with a great Shakespeare recitation would just not have done the trick.

The Susan Boil stuff doesn't bother me, and I'm Scottish.  I like AotKA too, especially the opening.  They spend all of this time going on about recycling, and then as soon as an EyePhone ad comes up they're all like "A new EyePhone?  Screw this outdated junk!"

I love that sort of humor.

Devil's Hands...I "watched" the hidden table reading of the script again. Then I watched the actual episode. I suppose I could go after an enormous amount of nerd cred by completing the trifecta and watching the commentary...
