I don't think the clip is playable in the UK, Beanoz4.

I think you are the only UK fan who can see the clips (I do know of some people who's computers have a location filter, or something along those lines, so they can view American websites...)

But yeah, great clip all the gags hit and came naturally to the story - but now I can't wait to see the whole thing!

"They Live lens"  :laff:  Love it.  It seems (so far) that the pop culture references are a being played a bit more subtle.

This explains the concept artwork of Fry and Amy without skin, but it doesn't explain the explain the empty meat jackets hanging on the rack.  I thought they were connected.

That was just awesome.  :laff:

It's funny, Bender seems like the kind of guy who'd be obsessed with taking photos.

This week's Countdown to Futurama podcast is out.

"The Thief of Baghead" is revealed to be the episode that involves Calculon competing in the World Acting Championship (with Langdon Cobb, the 'Baghead' from the episode title).

It's also heavily suggested that the mushroom dog and Cobb are the same creature.  One half is the ego and the other the id, connected via quantum entanglement.  I'd also wager that he's the one doing the soul-sucking.

Also, apparently the robot revolt that Bender leads will end up killing all humans in the future unless Nixon loses the election.  Does this mean the status quo might be shaken?

Also, Calculon has a running story arc throughout both halves of the season.  Interesting stuff!

Or Bender and his army might get their asses kicked by humans. At last :).

Holy crap so much awesome stuff appearing! :D Super excited for this episode now, it sounded pretty "meh" at first, but as usual, Futurama makes every boring plot become beyond awesome.

My guess for why Zoidberg and Professor are dressed as burgurlars:

It's an attempt to get Langdon's bag off his head.

Yep, "The Thief of Baghead" promises to be very interesting. But today's promo sucks in my opinion. I hope there will be a promo from "Zapp Dingba(t)" tomorrow.

Wow, I'm really psyched for this season now!

And "The Thief of Baghead" has gone from not even being on my radar to the episode I'm most anticipating. The premise sounded so dull in the beginning, but it now looks like it could be quite good indeed (particularly after listening to the podcast).

I love how the aquariums have nothing physically containing the water.

I don't think the plot to Yo Leela Leela is boring.  Execution sucks though.

As for today's promo, what comes to mind is why the hell would you want Dr. Z and Farnsworth of all people to act all spy like unless they are part of a larger group for some reason.

^This.
It had very typical Futurama plot devices..it was just told as a story about a children TV series, instead of a story ABOUT THE PEOPLE producing said series.

Exactly!  Well said, Inquisitor Hein.  The writers have access to characters that are so good they could have them sit there twiddling their thumbs all day long and it would still be more interesting than half of the drivel out there.  They just need to remember that Futurama isn't about the plots so much as the characters and how they interact.  The stories practically generate themselves.

Two of the episodes I was least interested in ("The Thief of Baghead" and "Decision 3012") are looking really awesome, and now hold my interest. If the same can happen with "Zapp Dingba" then I will actually be looking forward to every single episode in 7A. :D

I'm excited for Dingba if only because it's gonna feature the mutants and their slow integration back in to surface society.  Maybe.  I guess that depends on if Zapp actually goes down into the sewers or if he plucks Munda out of them.  I'm hoping for the former.

So, not counting each "image" as an idividual item on the Countdown, we've had 7 previews of TBATB, 6 previews of AFTA, 5 previews of D3 and (so far) 7 previews of TTOB. What the heck? Bit random.
