Has anyone ever had any dreams having to do with Futurama? I had many dreams having to do with Futurama.

I once had a bad dream one night where I had recieved a phone call from someone. They had told me that Bender had been killed. I began to cry as I went downstairs to play on my Nintendo 64. But when I get downstairs, I notice Mario, Wario and Luigi around my seat. Mario commits suicide by overdosing on all kinds of drugs while Luigi and Wario cry because of Bender's death. As Mario fell to the floor dead, I woke up.

Cool dream.  Esp. the part where Mario O.D's.

Check out the dream thread in the offtopic section.  I'm too lazy to go search a link.

I never dreamed to be in a cartoon, but neither in a movie or with real actors - I think it's just very difficult for people to dream something you didn't ever seen or touched in reality (I mean things outside a screen), you can just dream about them, which is different - (otherwise then you should be a veryveryvery weird person yep!   :D )

it's difficult for me to explain what I want to mean - perhaps it's 'cause of my english

anyway, to answer to Andrea Huckstep: no, I never dreamed toons, in the sense I never dreamed to interact directly to 2D characters, included those from Futurama

how do you guys can dream yourselves among with toons? did you dream yourselves as a 2D toon, or just don't know how you are, seeing the others from your eye-point of view, so that you can't see how's your body?

I'm sure most people have had quite weird dreams about ghosts, monsters, talking animals, falling, etc (These are just examples. It could also be something much better) so dreaming about cartoons characters doesn't seem that far out. Some of my nightmares from my youth included werwolfes and maneating furniture. (weird, I know  :p) All in all, I think I'd rather dream about Leela than being chased by murderous werwolfes.

And remember, dreams doesn't have to mean anything, they're just dreams. Even Freud said "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar".

Hmmm, dreaming about Leela.    ::gazes lovingly out the window::

Well, the mind and imagination are vast and unexplainable phenomenons - I don't think man will ever figure out how and why they work. The thing is, personally, to answer your question, I don't usually dream that I'm in a cartoon, usually I have a dream and it has images of cartoons. Most cartoons (Futurama included) are drawn in a way that ploys the imagination into thinking that even though it's a sheet of paper they're looking at, the image actually has depth and the worlds are technically 3 dimensional. Coupled with my overactive imagination they get portrayed in my dreams as objects that walk, talk and do..other stuff in the same light as perfectly normal humans do.

Finally someone else who dreams about Futurama! All I remember about mine is that I was in the future and I gave Bender some helium balloons to hold, and he flew up. And then me and Fry were laughing at a product which was a elephant in a tin can. Hmmm...

Never dreamed that I was in a cartoon... but I *have* had dreams that involved a 3D, 'real' Amy. (Obsessive? Moi?) And that's not counting the lucid dreams where I get to take control of events. (I'm getting good at those... it's worth practicing, as it beats the hell out of TV. In fact, as long as you can maintain control over things it beats real life!)

And last night I dreamed that I was Spike from Buffy. Which was cool. With toothache. Which wasn't. When mild irritations from real life affect your dreams, they really screw things up!

I've just finished to see "Leela's homeworld"!
I liked it so much (even I'm got little confused about Leela's origins now) that tonight I sincerely hope to enjoy that bunch of cartoon dreamers weirdos you are!!!  :D

i had a futurama related dream last night. i don't remember all of it but it involved the Proff inventing a robot Leela thinking that since the real Leela is the most productive member of his crew, then if there were two of them twice as much would get done. But the real Leela was real freaked out by the thing, even more freaked out when Fry started dating the 'Leela-bot'. I don't remember what happened in the end though i think she stabbed it in the back with a fork or something.
you know, that could actually be kinda a cool fanfic  ::stares pointedly at all the fanfic writers::

I once had a dream that I was at a theme park and I saw Mario and Bender riding on a ferris wheel. All of a sudden, the ferris wheel breaks and rolls off (like it does in that one episode of "The Simpsons", which was a reference to "1941" ). As it rolls off, I hear Mario screaming (like he does in SM64). I woke up before the ferris wheel crashed into Peach's castle.     :laff:

process away. Just make sure that if you or anyone else decide to run with it there is some LFR with the real Leela at some point too. it would be wrong for any fanfic inspired by me to be anything other then an LFR.

....hey your kinda right. never thought of that, only Lucy Lui (sp?) dosn't stab her double with a fork at the end, and the whole reason no one liked the relationship in that ep was because she was a robot. in my dream Leela didn't like it because he has dating her, only not her, and it was creepy.  Leela-bot was created rather then downloaded. She was built to be productive rather then reproductive. And Bender shows nothing more then minimal interest in her. There were no rampaging robots or even any mention of the internet, and nobody got their hands bitten off by a T-Rex. Actually, other then Fry dating a robot my dream was nothing like that ep.
