I just have a good feeling about Season 7. I only wish they would do more than 13 episodes. :( (I enjoy to change the subject)

Actually it's 26 just like Season 6, but split into two.

Ok... Anyway, does anyone think the show will ever create a two part episode and if so, how soon do you expect to see one

Bender's Big Score went into The Beast with a Billion Backs and Into the Wild Green Yonder went into Rebirth. ;)

Well, I count by broadcast season, because it makes the show feel longer. IMO, it feels much better to say: we are in Season 9, then season 7.

I guess so, but I actually meant two twenty minute episodes (Maybe some sort of 'Who Shot Mr. Burns' style mystery ending the 2012 run and beginning the 2013...)

No no no. No one does that. Not even the Futurama staff. We stick to Production Season. It feels long even as one whole thing.

Eric Rogers said that the 7A finale is going to be quite different. This time they knew there was going to be a break in the middle, and when I asked him if it had be written to fit with this format, he said kind of. ;) (Also, he co-wrote the 7A finale.)

Bender's Big Score, The Beast with a Billion Backs, Bender's Game and Into the Wild Green Yonder: four 4-part episodes.

iTunes actually does that (they sold 6A as 7, and 6B as 8, and I'm sure they will sell 7A and 7B as 9 and 10 respectively) and it is just dumb.

What annoys me is how the DVDs are being sold as broadcast seasons.
And what's even more annoying is how they're calling 6A "Season 5"  :hmpf:

On the UK game, it's £2M, actually ...

The episodes are in production order in the UK... They are on my sets anyway. They just call them Seasons here, instead of Volumes.

Season 1
Season 2
Season 3
Season 4
The Collected Epics (Hm...)
Season 5

Not the best way to do it, but I guess it's alright...

That makes sense. I never really thought of the movies as a season the same way all the other seasons are seasons.

On my family's Monopoly set, it's £200. On my Star Wars copy, it's 200 credits. On my brother's travel copy, it's £200. It may have been recently updated, but every copy of Monopoly in my house says £200.

Suck it. Do not pass go, do not collect £200, just suck it. :p

I do hope Zoidberg gets his deal of stand-out moments this season (Besides his subplot in 'A Clockwork Origin' and his own episode, he had hardly any screen time throughout the twenty six episodes...:hmpf:)

I love Zoidberg episodes, but there are quite a few fans who hate them.  It's not that they dislike Zoidy, its that they don't think he works when he has more then a few lines.

I disagree though.  I enjoyed TL! (don't kill me nooo) and I loved WMIBACIL

But then the next season is season 7, which is right where it should be.

Right?

Maybe not as stupid as at first glance.

P.S. It said £2M on the image I found online.

Yes, but season 7 will be split up into two broadcast seasons and then two DVD sets that will be called season 7 and season 8 so, if we get season 8, those DVDs will be called season 9 (or season 9 and 10 if that's split up as well).

Zoidberg is my favourite character and I was happy with how much use he got in season 6. I don't feel like Zoidy-specific episodes tend to work that well so I don't really one more than one per production season, which we got, and Zoidy got that hilarious subplot in A Clockwork Origin and lots of choice moments here and there in other episodes. I suppose he didn't show up THAT much but when he did, it was always gold.

Also, it's £200 on my family Monopoly set too and that things one of the original sets from eons ago. I don't care if they've updated it since, the definitive version in this country is £200.

I wouldn't mind having an episode focusing, on say, Leela that has a Zoidberg subplot (Maybe he and Bender could do something together for some reason...)

They would have been the better pick of characters for the Futurama spin-off, Pazuzu and the Neutral President just don't have enough chemistry  :p

I asked Eric about the lack of cartoons on the big screen in the intro, I figured it was because of the shorter run time, but to my surprise he said:

that's part of it, but that bit also just ran its course.

Interesting, I guess it's pretty challenging for them to hunt down old cartoons and use them for a few second scenes each episode (Maybe they could just place an image of the character the episode focuses on, just a thought...)

I don't think it has to be old cartoons anymore. They used this thing from 2010 on All the Presidents' Heads...

It may be stupid but it's also dumb

I'm just saying for them to showcase something like a 50's cartoon or logo (That frog thing you mentioned) it's a lot of work for something that is pretty useless and has no real connection to the show

Well The Simpsons has the couch gag and the chalkboard, and Futurama has the opening caption and the opening cartoon. Now it only has the caption. :(

Well I'd rather have no opening at all if it means adding a few precious extra seconds to the episode (Much like some recent Simpsons episodes have been doing) and then they could add the openings back when the DVD is released...

Maybe have the caption then have the camera pan through whatever letter it does and appear at the start of the episode

I miss the cold openings, that's what I miss. That's right. Season One biznitches!
