In the fourth Futurama movie entitled: 'Into The Wild Green Yonder' we learn about the Dark One and the Encyclopod evolving from some type of frog and snake. Can we have a civilized discussion about what creature evolved into what and evidence supporting your thought.

Snake -> parasite thing

Frog -> gigantic manta ray

And that's as far as my disputing skills go.

This is a very random and unexpected topic, but yeah, I'm gonna go with the Frog being the Encyclopod and the Snake being the Dark One too.... wink

I thought it was pretty obvious that the Dark One was the one that first ate the other one. Unfortunately, I can't remember which one that was at the moment...

^ This. That was my impression too. I need to rewatch ITWGY to find out which one.

But I voted for snake, just to stop the poll from being so one-sided.

I think the encyclopod evolved from the frog, because frogs are a bit more shaped like the encyclopod, and snakes are a bit more shaped like the leech dark-one things.
