Bender, and all the other robots I guess, another 1,000 years into the future with all new characters (and some of the characters you know and love as heads in jars).

We could get a spin off where we see what bender did in the past in Benders Big Score

Be a bit boring, it'd just be him running around tracing Fry. Although... No, it could be great, if it's made properly...

Billy West kinda made a spin-off suggestion in that interview ;)

Maybe a spin-off, who knows? Fry Loves Leela like Joannie Loves Chacchi.

Good grief...unless it's for voice acting purposes, keep microphones away from that man....

A spin-off using the parallel universe from the Farnsworth Parabox could be good if done properly.

But it'd kind of just be the same show... :hmpf:

Although it would be cool to see the Universe 1 version of TLPJF, the Professor invents a backwards time machine, so they have to keep going backward until they find a forwa-... Wait... that wouldn't work.... Unless they kept going until the Universe re-formed itself. :p

It wouldn't be just the same show at all. I don't think they meant a show about universe 1 -they meant one about all the strange, weird universes that were visited like the hippy universe and the robot universe.

Spin-offs can go in many directions. Some can be very successful like Frasier. And others can shit out loud into your mouth, like The Penguins of Madagascar. So, if there was going to be a Futurama spin-off, what would it be like?

The most successful spin-offs are successful because they do their own thing. Cheers and Frasier had a very different set of characters and they utilized high-brow humor to poke fun at the high class. All in the Family and The Jeffersons focus on very different issues and The Jeffersons has a very different tone overall. So if there were to be a successful Futurama spin-off, it would simply be taking one or two characters and putting them in a largely different show.

I would do a Bender spin-off, as he is the funniest character in my opinion.

There's definitely already a thread for this somewhere. I'm sure that someone suggested a spin-off set in Universe 1 and I decided that that'd be great because it'd basically mean we'd get 13 more episodes of 'Futurama' a year.

I wouldn't mind an All My Circuits spin-off.

Calculon's terrible acting amuses me.

Merged the two "Futurama spin-off" threads.

Personally, I think Amy would make for a good second show. She's not one of the main trio, but she's close enough to the action that we know her pretty well. She also operates in academic and (rich) social circles that aren't necessarily explored in Futurama proper.

The professy might work well here too, with his constant inventionating and other angles. The entire point of Planet Express is that it serves to fund all of his other projects, right? Obviously he's got more going on. But he's also old and senile, so he might not be as dynamic as younger characters with more energy.

I was actually thinking the same thing, but what if this one took place in the 2900s? Pre-Fry, pre-Planet Express, pre-senility, etc., etc. A few current characters could appear as well, including Zoidberg, Mom, and Wernstrum, but not likely many others.

Awesomrama!
Dwight and Cubert and their exploits and mis-adventures. Dealing with the horrors of school, growing up, having dim-wits and idiots for relatives and gelatinous (blob) bullies.

They should also have robot. Cause every awesome trio has a robot. One they perhaps built themselves?

O.o I may have only seen the newer episodes once, but I thought Bender's only son was given to the Robot Devil. He has another one?

I would ask how is it possible for Robots to have children, but looking at the title, I assume we're getting the Futurama version of the 'talk'.

In Beast With a Billion Backs, Bender gave the Robot Devil his first-born son (no mention as to whether or not he has any other sons). That aired in 2008. In The Bots and the Bees, Bender will have a new son. That episode will air later this year in 2012.

Why?

You got that part from 'The Beast with a Billion Backs' fine. It's just that there's an upcoming episode with a different son.
