From these five little settings
(And five buttons to match),
Came the loss of some dressings,
And a hard-to-work catch.

Mom's "Mother's Day" bra remote?

Is that your way of saying it was a good riddle? Or merely an acceptable one?

You are, of course, correct.

[Mom]Oh, I don't know...[/Mom]

If it were "From its five little settings" I think it'd be fine. Then again, if the riddle is saying that the undressing and catching came from the settings themselves, that might not be accurate enough (the whole undressing scheme rose from the result of Mom activating a particular one of these settings). :)

But I should probably defer at this time. It might look bad to not offer what I'd deem at least an acceptable riddle (so others can likewise pick it apart), but I can't think of anything at the moment.

You are completely right. I was in a hurry and perhaps not entirely cognizant of the proper riddle-construction paradigm. Thank you for your assistance.

Less belittling, more riddling! (although I realize we are all respectful here, it's hard coming up with a word that rhymes with riddling, if that even is a word)

Afraid not. As far as I know the character is just "man" so I'm looking for an answer along the lines of the "the guy from that bit in the [place] in [episode]"

Ooh good guess, but not what I was looking for. I should have realized Bender has jeered lots of people in his day.

An addendum:

Bender is quick to console
His dear friend in pain
By insulting this patron
Who looks up in vain

The Omicronians (specifically Lrrr) in "The Problem with Popplers". Eating Leela (or so they think) to show the strength over the Earthlings, and getting high (an unusual length) by eating the Smelly Hippie.

Too far-fetched?
