What do you imagine Popplers taste like?

I think they taste like popcorn chicken because that's what they look like to me.

What do you think they taste like? We know they taste good with honey mustard sauce, at least.

This is a serious question. I'm not spamming. I'm just up late and hungry.

When I saw everybody eating them it really looked ugly to me.
That's maybe because I don't like sea-food, but bttpc, i think too they taste like popcorn-shrimp and not like popcorn-chicken, because I'm always connecting animalistic food on a crowd to fishing boats and because I know they were little animals like shrimps.

I just had these for dinner. Texture-wise (they're kind of mushy, but also juicy, on the inside; and kind of crunchy and/or on the outside), these are what I imagine Popplers are like. So, in short: quite delicious.

This thread's getting into my head. I dreamed I was eating popplers last night. They tasted like those deep fried crispy spicy pork thingies you get from the Chinese takeaway. Delicious. Then I woke up hungry.

I've thought about this question for probably close to a decade.  I assume that they taste like some sort of cross between popcorn chicken, shrimp, frog legs, and crocodile as El-Man suggested....

Basically, it's probably a really sweet chickeny flavour with its own natural crunchy bread crust........
