So, that's the end of our extremley short season. But, what was your overall letter or number rank of all the episodes and then the season in general. Here's mine, they're out of 5: 5 being the best.
Roswell That Ends Well: 4
A Tale of Two Santas: 5
Anthology of Interest II: 4
Love and Rocket: 4.5
Leela's Homeworld: 3
Where the Buggalo Roam: 3
A Pharaoh to Remember: 2.5
Godfellas: 3.5
Future Stock: 3.5
A Leela of her Own: 3
The 30% Iron Chef: 4.5
Where No Fan Has Gone Before: 5
Rounding it off, that's about 3.8 out of 5: which is good. Well, what 'bout you?

"Rosebud... Yes, Rosebud frozen peas. Full of country goodness and green pea-ness. ...wait, that's terrible. I quit! ...just a handful for the road. ...oh, what luck. There's a french fry stuck in my beard."

Out of what's aired in the UK so far:

Roswell That Ends Well (5)
Anthology of Interest II (3.5)
Love & Rocket (4)
Leela's Homeworld (4.5)
Where Buggalo Roam (3.5)

So far it's been a very good season, and most of what's left sounds good from what I've read smile

*g* Out of what's "aired" on P2P:

Roswell That Ends Well (5) - great!
Godfellas (5+)
A Tale of Two Santas (4)
A Pharaoh to Remember: (3.5)

the season was definitely too short. :-(

Welcome to PEEL, Apogee. Enjoy it here.  big grin

It's been a pretty solid season, way to short, but pretty solid. I'll post some numbers tomorrow, after I've (hopefully) seen "Where No Fan Has Gone Before.

I'm sticking to my scale of 10, so ner.

    Roswell That Ends Well: 9.5
A Tale of Two Santas: 7
    Anthology of Interest II: 9
    Love and Rocket: 8
    Leela's Homeworld: 7
    Where the Buggalo Roam: 8.5
    A Pharaoh to Remember: 5.5
    Godfellas: 6
    Future Stock: 7.5
A Leela of her Own: 3
    The 30% Iron Chef: 9
Where No Fan Has Gone Before: 7*

    * - I've watched it a few more times, and I'm knocking it up a notch, from the original 6 to a 7

So, according to the law of averages, I give this season a 7.25/10, which is pretty accurate. There were a couple of brilliant episodes let down by some average one, not to mention the worst episode of Futurama yet, in my opinion anyway.

Below average amount of jokes, Bender out of character, dumbing down of Leela, just for starters. I gave it 2 points, for the visuals (pretty amazing animation and CGI, and Leela in slavegarb) and for some decent jokes (like the Aussie and the constant whipping).

Up until Bender got buried, it was loaded with jokes. What are you talking about? And how exactly was Bender out of character?

And I don't see how Leela was dumbed down. Just because she's not the sole focus of the episode doesn't mean she's being written as dumb.

      Roswell That Ends Well: 5
      Tale of Two Santas: 4
      AOI2: 4
      Love & Rocket: 4
      Leela's Homeworld: 3.5

      Pharoe To Remember: 4
      Godfellas: 2
      Future Stock: 3.5
      Leela of Her Own: 3
30% Iron Chef: (I am unfit to review this episode)
Where No Fan Has Gone Before: 4

Those scores seem high, but still this season has been kind of disappointing. Maybe it's just because of the shortness. I have to say they've been getting better with repeated viewings though. At first my thoughts on Roswell That Ends well were along the lines of "pretty good, but not the best". But now I'd rank it in my top three episodes. And I thought Two Santas and AOI2 were just ok, but looking back on them, they were really damn funny.

The season showed some annoying trends, but I have high hopes for the rest of the 4acv episodes. The three they've shown so far have been rockingly good.

Okay, maybe a few too harsh words, it was late and I was tired.

Maybe we just have different opinions, but I didn't laugh much through this episode. The funeral scene had me litterally cringing. Zoidy's rendition of "Danny Boy" was a ray of light though. The Elton John things was brilliant too, the constant use of whips was good.

Anywho, Benders sudden need to be remembered bothered me. He has never worried about his mortality before, and all of a sudden it's a big thing. He's willing to go to jail for 15 minutes of fame? And for a public bath heist? If it had been hinted at in previous episodes I would be alright with it, but it just seemed like something thrown into Bender's character for the sake of the episode. In short Bender was obnoxious, but not in the "lovable rascal" kinda way.

I have no problems with Leela not being the main focus of the episode (no really, I haven't), but Leela should've kicked the crap out of the 3 Osirians that captured them, or at least tried. Leela and Fry should've at least attempted to flee, and after the old Pharaoh died they stayed behind and danced instead of sneaking down to the PE ship.

I'm probably being a little harsh on "A Tale Of Two Santas," just because it wasn't on the same level as "Xmas Story," though I think DiMaggio did an excellent job replacing Goodman.  (And Zoid-Jesus - man that was funny.)

What I don't understand is why people don't like "A Pharaoh To Remember," which I thought was hilarious.  DiMaggio's performance in that episode is one of the best of the entire series.  ("AAooohhh! NEXT!")

I also don't understand why people *do* like "The 30% Iron Chef" so much.  It had some good moments, but I thought it was easily the weakest ep of the season, and maybe the entire series.  (Which still makes it better than anything else on tv.)

Well there are a lot of things that I become worried about that I wasn't worried about before. Just because because you haven't seen Bender feel a certian emotion dosen't mean he has or will feel it.
