Good news, anyone!
Katey Sagal: Futurama has been renewed
That's great news. Hopefully a more official announcement will confirm this.
Now for the 135-day wait to June 23.
Second. Wake me after my onehundredthirtyfive-day hibernation.

Since when did Thursday became the happening night for the best shows? It's like this on every network. I mean I get it, Thursday = big show night for who knows how long. I was just curious if there was a statistical reason involved. Because Thursday night is usually go-out-and-get-drunk night isn't it? Unless I got it wrong and it was stay-home-and-get drunk night...hmm...
That's a good question! I'm always having to mess around with my DVR to get all my shows recorded. Royal Pains, Burn Notice, The Big Bang Theory, Futurama (when it was on), and there's another one I'm forgetting. There must be some reason, though I also remember popular shows being on on Friday nights a few years back. I think Stargate was on on Fridays. I wonder if it's changed over the years and/or with the advent of DVR? I'll go look this up. ETA: Looks like Thursday is actually an unpopular Nielsen night. http://www.tvsquad.com/2010/10/25/tv-viewers-no-longer-tuning-in-on-thursday-nights/

To all of those who have the blu ray version of Volume 5, there is a clip from "The Silence of the Clamps" on the live extras portion of the disc, under "Season 7 Sneak Peek." SPOILERS! The setting is an estate presumably owned by the Donbot, where a wedding is being held. Bender, wearing a slick red sports jacket, pants and gold bling is cruising around the party. He proceeds to hit on the bride, then Fanny as she dances with the Donbot, apparently forgetting that he had an affair with her not too long ago. Then he sees Isabella? (I couldn't hear her name too well), one of the Donbot's daughters walk over and they hit it off. The scene then cuts to the stables, where Bender is gettin' it on with Isabella. Soon, they are interrupted by Clamps and Joey Mousepad bringing in their victim, followed by the Donbot, who is carrying a package. This is when Bender witnesses the murder of... of... Special note of interest: Clamps apparently needs a new set of clamps for the murder to replace his old, rusted out ones. The new clamps are in a package that has a Planet Express logo on it! I didn't see anyone else from the PE crew in the clip, so either they delivered it to the Donbot earlier, or perhaps Bender brought the package with him to the wedding. (Sorry if this is old news. I did a search around and didn't see anything about it so I figured I'd post.)

Thanks for the clip, Louisweunator. I haven't been too thrilled by Robot Mafia-related episodes in the past (I find "Bender Gets Made" kind of excruciating), but this one looks pretty funny. I liked the Fanny callback and that end bit, about all the things the Donbot hates. Oh, and "I don't want to fool around with anybody I've already had sex with" was classic Bender. June cannot get here fast enough...
