Oops, didn't mean to do that.  I must have misread your thread last night.  Unfortunately, I am going to be quite busy today....but within the next 12-16 hrs, I will reread everything (when I have time) and correct it.

Did you have an open poll for the 18th?

The poll for the 18th best episode is now closed. I would recommend using the poll on this thread for the 19th best episode.

Based on episode rankings in the list I reference, I will include (so far):
Anthology of Interest I (#11)
War is the H-Word (#27)
The Day the Earth Stood Stupid (#19)
Godfellas (#14)

List:
http://www.peelified.com/Futurama-Forum-1/Topic-19675-40-I_have_attempted_the_impo.html

If you have any other suggestions for the list, now is your time to include it for the 19th best episode.  I will include the 2 best/most nominated suggestions if garnered before I open the poll....so if you want more options for this poll, state it now. :)

ok, since The Problem with Popplers and Anthology of Interest II each received 2 nominations, I will include them in the poll.

The poll is open; get to voting!  But make sure you don't stuff the ballot box. ;)

Tough choices, FHM!  I was dithering between one of the Anthologies of Interest, but chose Popplers in the end.

My avatar concurs.

Maybe this board has an anti Ken Keeler bias.

I nominate the underrated gem, 300 Big Boys.

It seems that the best episodes (in my opinion) are the ones that entangles all the main crew members into one overarching plotline. Just remember how great "The Prisoner of Benda" and "The Farnsworth Parabox" are!

He, himself, doesn't. Everything around him goes slow-motion and he moves at regular speed, just like Fry in 300 Big Boys.

I feel 300 Big Boys might be more underrated than I initially thought. The coffee scene is one of my favourites in the series too, and the plots all come together nicely at the end. Top 30, maybe? :hmpf:

YES it can!

After 20 votes, the winner for the 19th best Futurama episode of all time is:
Godfellas with 9 votes (45%).
The Problem with Popplers had 4 votes (20%)
War is the H-Word had 3 votes (15%)
The Day the Earth Stood Stupid had 3 votes (15%)
Anthology of Interest II had 1 vote (5%)
Anthology of Interest I had 0 votes (0%)

So to recap, voted the best Futurama episode of all time: Roswell that Ends Well
The 2nd best Futurama episode of all time: The Luck of the Fryrish
The 3rd best Futurama episode of all time: The Sting
The 4th best Futurama episode of all time: The Late Philip J Fry
The 5th best Futurama episode of all time: Parasites Lost
The 6th best Futurama episode of all time: The Farnsworth Parabox
The 7th best Futurama episode of all time: The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings
The 8th best Futurama episode of all time: Space Pilot 3000
The 9th best Futurama episode of all time: Time Keeps on Slippin'
The 10th best Futurama episode of all time: Jurassic Bark
The 11th best Futurama episode of all time: The Why of Fry

The 17th best Futurama episode of all time: A Flight to Remember
The 18th best Futurama episode of all time: Leela's Homeworld
The 19th best Futurama episode of all time: Godfellas

Now it is time to state your vote for the 20th best Futurama episode of all time (with all previous episode winners obviously being out of vote consideration).

Remember (again), if you want your choice of episode in the poll, you need to state your opinion...especially if it is not normally considered a top 10-30ish episode....a lone nomination for an episode out of this range usually does not garner inclusion in the poll.

Right now, it's also one of my favorites.
(In fact, I always enjoy showdowns with Fry as the savior, because he usually guarantees a new, hilarious twist to the classic showdown setting :) )

But when I first saw FatSF (first airing in Germany, yep, I'm old..;)), I didn't even know "Charly and the chocolate factory" by then. And of course, I was "WTF? There seems to be some insider jokes I keep constantly missing"... ;)
