Fry and the Slurm Factory IS pretty great. But, I'm really surprised no one had Spanish Fry nominated yet.

ok....so the poll is up.  There were a ton of great options for this round, but I went for the best "ranked" episodes from the other thread...episodes in this round: Anthology of Interest I (#11), The Day the Earth Stood Stupid (#19), War is the H-Word (#27), Insane in the Mainframe (#24), and A Flight to Remember (#17).  Fry and the Slurm Factory (#42) was just a bit too high with all the other options available...maybe next round.

Get voting!

I said a Flight to Remember, but personally I think that episode deserves to be in the top 10.

ok...a good time to close the poll.

After 23 votes, the winner for the 16th best Futurama episode of all time is:
Insane in the Mainframe with 9 votes (39.1%).
The Day the Earth Stood Stupid had 5 votes (21.7%)
War is the H-Word had 4 votes (17.4%)
A Flight to Remember had 3 votes (13%)
Anthology of Interest I had 2 votes (8.7%)

So to recap, voted the best Futurama episode of all time: Roswell that Ends Well
The 2nd best Futurama episode of all time: The Luck of the Fryrish
The 3rd best Futurama episode of all time: The Sting
The 4th best Futurama episode of all time: The Late Philip J Fry
The 5th best Futurama episode of all time: Parasites Lost
The 6th best Futurama episode of all time: The Farnsworth Parabox
The 7th best Futurama episode of all time: The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings
The 8th best Futurama episode of all time: Space Pilot 3000
The 9th best Futurama episode of all time: Time Keeps on Slippin'
The 10th best Futurama episode of all time: Jurassic Bark
The 11th best Futurama episode of all time: The Why of Fry
The 12th best Futurama episode of all time: Amazon Women in the Mood
The 13th best Futurama episode of all time: The Prisoner of Benda
The 14th best Futurama episode of all time: Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles
The 15th best Futurama episode of all time: Where No Fan Has Gone Before
The 16th best Futurama episode of all time: Insane in the Mainframe

Now it is time to state your vote for the 17th best Futurama episode of all time (with Roswell that Ends Well, The Luck of the Fryrish, The Sting, The Late Philip J Fry, Parasites Lost, The Farnsworth Parabox, The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings, Space Pilot 3000, Time Keeps on Slippin', Jurassic Bark, The Why of Fry, Amazon Women in the Mood, The Prisoner of Benda, Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles, Where No Fan Has Gone Before, and Insane in the Mainframe obviously being out of vote consideration).

Remember (again), if you want your choice of episode in the poll, you need to state your opinion...especially if it is not normally considered a top 10-20ish episode....a lone nomination for an episode out of this range usually does not garner inclusion in the poll.

Even though a clear winner is starting to form, we surely need more than 12 votes.

So why exactly does this not have a wiki page?

Very good idea.  I have been so busy lately (and am not the greatest with computer stuff; ex. website editing) that I have not had the time to do this since your posted suggestion.  If you wouldn't mind getting it started (or if someone else would like to), that would be awesome!

Perhaps somebody else could continue this? FHM took a 15-day leave back in March and Mongo was thinking of continuing it on his account. Then she came back, and she gave him the greenlight to continue it if she went another leave...

Sorry, I was gone for 15 days.  I will continue again.  However, if I should depart again, Mongo you may continue things.

I'd be happy for Mongo to continue things but if they don't want to (or don't check this thread) I'll happily do it.

I suggest we re-implement the weekly-round system Mongo tried to use last time, too.

Hey....I am back. Reposted from other thread:

Hey all, I am glad you continued the thread while I was away...I was in a bad place mentally the last few months, but hopefully, I plan on being back for awhile.  Normally I would have liked to give notice so you could have jumped to this other thread, but what happened, happened abruptly.  I don't want to get into it, but I should be back.

Or we can just make a "Best of the last *Insert number of season from season 6B onwards here* of Futurama" when the show ends/gets cancelled again.

I already have an idea on how to make this work...but it won't be implemented until all episodes have been slotted in the original list.

Seems I did not miss much (since this was stalled for so long).  You are just in the nominating phase for the 18th episode......

Nominees are (from what I could gather from the other thread....Mongo does things a tad different than I):
Brannigan, Begin Again
Hell is Other Robots
The Day the Earth Stood Stupid
The Problem with Popplers

I do not like to have more than 5 episodes in the poll because then votes get spread too thin (as you can see, this poll was open for over a month, yet it still only got 25 votes).  Since I see there are 4 episodes with multiple noms to this point, I will allow you to voice your opinion for a 5th nomination (if you think there needs to be one) since some of you may have thought some episodes were "automatic" for the poll (I do not like to have episodes from a former round automatically included in a new poll).  If need be, this ONE time, I will include a 6th episode in the poll if the noms are there.

Some minor notes: 1. Yes, you can nom 2 episodes if you want...but only if you feel strong about them (I only take the highest ranked nom, or an episode with multiple nominations).  2. Also, episodes from the "current" season are NOT up for nominating at this point (those nominations will be ignored).

Info from the last round:

After 25 votes, the winner for the 17th best Futurama episode of all time is:
A Flight to Remember with 8 votes (32%).
Leela's Homeworld had 6 votes (24%)
War is the H-Word had 6 votes (24%)
The Day the Earth Stood Stupid had 5 votes (20%)

The 17th best Futurama episode of all time: A Flight to Remember

Thinking about it, there are really only 3 episodes that should be vying for the last 2 spots (unless something weird happens)....War is the H-Word, Leela's Homeworld, and Anthology of Interest I.  Get nominating!

Actually, "Leela's Homeworld" was already voted the 18th best Futurama episode of all time, last weekend.

I was about to close out the nomination process for the 19th best episode, are you throwing all that out?
