hello

I'm earching for the calendar pic from the 2001 calender, where is explained how to draw leela. I have it, but my version is very small, so ist's hard to read it. A Version where you can read the text would be cool. Does anybody know, where I can find it?

I think it was the Y2Kalendar that had the description in it as well as other characters, not the 2001 Calendar.  Finding pics is nigh on impossible, although try eBay as a chance.

It is the Y2kalender; I have the 2001 (and 2002) and 2001 doesn't have it.

I know that, but I'm searching a way to download the picture on the internet.

A Big Piece of Garbage has all the calendars listed in the "Print Media" section, but the links aren't active and the place is still setting up. Maybe if you asked Bendo (his PEEL name), he'd put up some nice big scans...

For a physical copy, all I can say is watch the collectors and eBay.

I've got both. Gimme little time to scan 'em, and I'll e-mail the scans to both Bender-1729 and TheVoices, AND "A Big Piece."

I'll describe the text of the Leela "How-To" Page for Bender-1729.

TOP FIGURE, LEFT
(1) Breasts sit on chest line.
(2) Think of the wristbands and boots as cylinders that wrap around her limbs.
(3) Boots have platform soles.
TOP FIGURE, RIGHT
(1) Draw lines down from the neck line for the breasts and shoulders.
BOTTOM FIGURE, LEFT
(1) Thicken upper arms a bit to show bicep bulge.
(2) Wristband has two buttons and one viewscreen.
(3) Add details to boots.
BOTTOM FIGURE, RIGHT
(1) Add kneecap.

(Hey, did anyone notice Dr. Zoidberg's head sketches from the Y2K Calendar show TEETH?)

Something I noticed from the November entry of the 2002 calendar: The swab company is J'onzzen and J'onzzen, which is a parody on the Martian Manhunter's real name, J'onn J'onzz.

Now that's obscure! J'onn only made his first official non-comic appearance recently (in the animated Justice League). [There's that horrid old live-action TV-movie of years back, but that never actually aired, so...]

I'm just hoping that we get at least ONE reference to the Legion of Superheroes before the series ends (aside from my imagined "Lee Lemon" ref). Seeing as both series are set in the 31st century, it'd be a natural.

Heck, a recent Simpsons Comics cover parodied a Legion cover, so why not?

Just thought I'd clear things up: does anyone still want the Y2Kalendar scans? TheVoices? Bender-1729? Or is ]PaulFSAC[ going to put 'em up at FSAC? I don't wanna do it and find out no one wants/needs 'em...

(By the way, you can already pre-order the 2003 Calendar at Amazon.com.)

It's also a parody of Johnson & Johnson - a huge North American supplier of hygene supplies (among other things).  Hence the link to the swabs.
