Tachyon: That is so very, very icky. Did you at least try to keep your gaze nipple-high? (Also, did he have a velour towel?)

It wasn't super icky, Gorky, mostly just irritating because I wanted to take a shower and get back to my desk and eat lunch.  Forget about nipple high: I kept my gaze at least 90 degrees to one side or the other. DAMN my excellent peripheral vision!

I must be a PEELer because reading about asteroid YU55 passing semi-close to the Earth tomorrow brought "A Big Piece of Garbage" to mind.

The other day we had a Spanish assessment, and one of the bios you had to answer questions for was from a person called Roberto.

In my home  town, there is a "Sruffys Irish Pub". Strange but true, I never think of the Futurama character when I pass that building... ;)

What a coincidence. Scruffy was named after a restaurant in Venice (California) called Scruffy O'Shea's.

I have this TV Series on my iPad called Stephen Hawking's Universe, and in one of the episodes, he says that in the future, Mars might have it's own cuisine, language and will have cities built on it. I wonder if he watches Futurama?

Well...as Hawking is a Simpsons Fan, it's quite probably that he does or at least did watch Groenings other series...

This morning my dad drove me to school and on the way we stopped at Starbucks. While we were waiting in line, the lady in front of us asked for a receipt to which the cashier responded "You got it!". I thought of iZac right away and it made me giggle.

Apparently there's a new meditation game coming out for Kinect called 'Leela', which means 'play' in Sanskrit.

Both my laptop and cell phone chargers just slid off my desk into the crevice between it and my wall, seemingly for no reason. When I retrieved them, I could not help but say, in my most Zapp Brannigan-esque voice, "You win again, gravity."

My friend told me that in her Spanish class they're reading a story about a girl that has a horse named Bender. I wonder if her teacher likes Futurama.

Well, I have a student named Bender, but he's not a silver robot who drinks beer and smokes cigars. (At least, I'm sure about the robot part.)

At least you can hide behind the alias of rhino bride, wooOOOooo!

So what do they say if you do assign homework? Calculon's "N-O-O-O!" or "WHYYYY" or maybe Bender's "Aw man, there's always a catch"

...now if you start to hear those phrases from them, they're definitely on this board. :shifty:

God, every time I even see the word "velour" I get this disgusting mental image of Zapp. There's this new ad for velour something, I don't even know, outside this store I pass on the way to school every day and it is terrible.

I have three...one is every time I go to Starbucks, my son starts laughing and saying "STARFISHBUCKS!" And the other I saw a company today called Flexo Concepts. That got a chuckle out of me! The third is probably sad...but every time I see the comercials for the new Tintin movie...His red hair with the flips in the front remind me of Fry.

Since Groening is pronounced like "complainin' ", does that means "Cohen and Groening" are known as "groanin' and complain' "?
