Like I said good news that the game has been confirmed bad news that termination of the series has now been shown in a magazine and not just on the net.
FYI I have not misspelt Leela they did, oh and if this seems to be in the wrong forum I'm sorry but the subject seems to have elements of two forums.

More like old news! There was a thread about the videogame a while back...it's supposed to be coming out on Gamecube and I think X-box too, it's not a PS2 exclusive. I'm not sure about PC though.

Well if it's only for Piece of Shit 2 [edit: or other consoles, not PC](that's just my opinion) then it is one serious   :finger: for me.

Console, console, everything has to be on console now a days. What's the deal with that? Is it just to continually screw us PC owners. They damn well better make a PC version, or I'll take a short trip to Sweden sometime, with ajerry can full of gas (no not really, but I'll be pretty miffed  :p)

No biggie, buy a Gamecube, it costs less than £200:00 and has the best controller out of the three consoles.

£200 sounds big enough to me, I'm not into games but if I were I'd want to play them on my computer not have to pay £200 to buy another bit of kit.

I agree with Tweek and Zed 85. I have a perfectly fine PC (well come this monday I will  :D), and it's a hell of a lot more flexible than a console. Plus £200 is a bit on the heavy side, I think.

As do I. ... and a Dreamcast... and a Gamecube. I like consoles because the variety of titles is better and oftentimes the graphics are better as well. PC game developers have it tough, since not everyone has the same hardware. That said, I like playing UT, Counterstrike, and Quake 3 on the PC, much much better than the console versions. You can't get Metal Gear Solid 2, GTA3, Gran Turismo 3, Wave Race, and many more on the PC though, so consoles are alright with me. Here's a console thread if you want to read more...

Wow, you must be a real hardcore gamer to own all three, didn't feel like an X Box? I agree with your reasons, I just wish there was only one games platform and that every game could be released on it, rather than shelling out hundreds on hardware. One console is enough for me :)

I have an XBox too, but it's only for reviewing games. I really don't like Microsoft or the console. I don't play as much as I used to, but school breaks are good for gaming.   :)

Games are SO much better on systems then on computers. Most computers have you sitting upright at a desk in a crappy chair with a keyboard and mouse, with consoles you can sit in a couch and hold a controller with a nice big TV and big speakers.

Great it has turned into a nice little console vs PCs flame war, at least it isn't as bad as the ign boards where if someone mentioned a game for a system the thread would turn into a 5 way flame war.

Might as well put my 2 cents in, I prefere PCs, higher resoultion, I like the developers (Black Isle, greatest rpg makers on earth), my favorite genres I can only find on a PC (Stratagy games, FPS, and CRPGS), also the PC is much more backwards compatable, I can play games released in 1984 if I want (I can also play NES, SNES, Genesis, some N64, some PS, some arcade and a bunch of games that were never released in America, but that is another thread...)

'Kay, how about Game Boy (original 1989), Mega Drive/Genesis, SNES, Jaguar, PlayStation, Saturn, Dreamcast and Game Boy Advance, plus Atari ST and *four* Macs (with emulators for Spectrum, C64 and PC Engine)? Do I win anything?  ;)

Mind you, having worked on videogame magazines for 8 years (before escaping to movies) and becoming heartily sick of the sheer mind-numbing repetition of the whole gaming world, I have no intention whatsoever of buying a PS2, Xbox *or* Gamecube. Unless the Futurama game turns out to be better than Goldeneye - or has a perverted Amy cheat mode...   :flirt:

Let's see, what would the Futurama game be like, hmmm... Uh, maybe you go from planet to planet delivering stuff and they're themed to certain episodes. OK, you could have one for "My Three Suns" and one for "Amazon Women in the Mood" and one for "Love and Rocket", the list goes on. What do YOU think?

I think Mom will have some sort of devious plan, we will have the choice of using many different characters and have to use them all, because they'll have different abilities. The aim will be to defeat Mom, meet plenty of recurring characters for help and information and travel to different planets to obtain certain objects and information. The main hub of the game however will be based in New New York. That's what I think based on what I already know.

Americans are being inundated with the video game culture, so much so that when melded with the video culture they can't figure out which way is up.  No offense intended, but if that is the perception I humbally apologize.
