The movies aren't unnumbered, they all have the production numbers at the end of the credits just like the episodes (except they each have four instead of one).
Yeah, but I mean in Broadcast seasons. The movies are 5ACV01-5ACV16, but they aren't a season in R2, they're DVD-movies. U.S. Version =  S6, EU Version = S5.

When will Cigar Guy appear in Futurama?

And why couldn't I choose my own profile pic?

Hoping they will do almost as good as Bender's Big Score, some fans seem to have lost faith in "Futurama" after the DVD-movies, hoping for that new season. :D

I agree.  I think that after how well Futurama has come back even after a somewhat shaky start that it has 'redeemed' itself and will see strong dvd sales yet again.

I'm sure the DVD sales will be strong and the show will be renewed.  In the next season there will be an episode called that's a title pun for Law and Order.  Forgot what it was.  I hope none of the characters will be accused of a crime they didn't commit in that one.

Answer: It's called "Law and Oracle", I'm really hoping for "All the Presidents' Heads", the "head-licking" episode. Season 6.5 is going to be great. (I hope.) :D

12 Days of Xmas Countdown

Note: I hope I have posted this in the right thread (place) and no one has posted it before me. If have I apologize.

This may be of interest. These are some videos clips of the next episode "The Futurama Holiday Spectacular Speculation". Which I can't see since I not in America.

tv.com is holding a 'best of 2010' vote.  Futurama is currently losing to 'Archer' (38% to 41%) in the animation category.  Let's see if we can't fix that:

I think this post should have it's very own thread here.

Also you don't need to be a member to vote.

I also suggest we spread the word to as many places with Furturama fans.

To sum up:

Known episode names AND positions:
"The Silence of the Clamps" (6ACV14)
"Möbius Dick" (6ACV15) (although strongly assumed rather than confirmed)
"All the Presidents' Heads" (6ACV23)
"Cold Warriors" (6ACV24)
"Reincarnation" (6ACV26)

Known episode names, but NOT position:
"Overclockwise"
"Fry Am the Egg Man"
"Nine-Tenths of a Zoidberg is Underwater"
"Neutopia"
"Law & Oracle"
"Ghost in the Machines"
"Benderama"
"Yo Leela Leela"

Which amounts to 13 episodes and thus all of them.

Speculating on the title "Overclockwise", which is a portmanteau of two words, "overclock" and "clockwise". Overclocking is running a computer at higher than recommended speed, which in this episode likely refers to Bender's CPU. Clockwise, of course, is a direction of spin, but also suggests the passing of time.

My guess is that Bender somehow has his CPU running faster than normal, so his subjective time sense is speeded up -- rather like Fry in "300 Big Boys".

That sounds quite plausible actually.  I would like that because that scene in 300 Big Boys is awesome.  I imagine Bender would think that he possesses super-speed and can steal much more effectively but he really isn't as fast as he thinks and gets caught anyway.

Yeah, that may very well be what it's about.
That'll make a great episode, but you can't be sure now that 6ACV13 has aired.

Another thing that bothers me is how people seem to believe that the second half of season 6 will be the last Futurama ever.  People criticizing the episodes of season 6, and losing faith in it, and being so negative about it's return is what really bothered me during the season.  It's coming back sometime next year.  As I've said before, maybe the DVD will reveal a release date!

What would these Debbie Downers who hated the new season rather have?  A new Mario cartoon?  A new Sonic cartoon?

As it stands, right now, we don't know if there is going to be more afterwards.  Even the show runners are working with the idea that it could be the last Futurama ever.

The criticism stems from two sides.  There is a large portion of the criticism that is largely fuelled by a nostalgia fatigue, that new stuff can never equal or surpass the old in quality.  This line of thought is entirely uncommon these days, and I suspected it would befall upon the revival of Futurama too.

The other portion stems from view that a larger portion of the new season is not entirely en par with old series than a season used to be.  This - to some people at least - gives a sense of a 'bad season', if it has more misses than hits (though it did had some very very good hits).

Some would argue that for some people, the problem with the new season is that Futurama has changed its focus slightly compared to the seasons of old.  Futurama appealed to many different people for different reasons.  Even the new season has episodes that some love and some loath.  Same was true with the old show.

The idea here is that some would say that Futurama's focus has become narrower (not changed), and thus does not appeal to its entire scope of fans as much as it used to.

But the mere fact remains that some of these episodes shows signs of sloppy shitty writing.  Plain and simple.

Some of the criticism is reasonable, some isn't.  And I can understand why people are losing faith in the show.  Especially with this new Xmas episode (which did - however - make me laugh and not cringe once), which seemed like a failed attempt at an AOI-style Xmas story.  And - if you ask me - a horrible misuse of Al Gore.

The real question is, which one is the episode title for the all important 6ACV25?

Is that the one where they are doing Futurama in three different art styles?  Or is that supposed to be "Resurrection" - 6ACV26?

Yeah it's 26, which is the final-final episode (and now it's called "Futurama Reincarnation"). 25 is meant to be the "last" episode.

Hmph.  I am a bit confused.

26 is supposed to be another AOI style 3 part episode and generally those are non canon, does that mean that 25 is then the series finale?  (I thought it was generally assumed that because we haven't yet heard that the show is confirmed for another production season that the last episode is the series finale but left open ended - like TDHAIP or ITWGY.)

Does this mean that:

25 is the series finale in canon and 26 is a non canon thing like the Holiday Spactacular

or

26 is the series finale and it is also canon and still in a 3 part style

Either way seems a bit strange, especially if (I hope not) Futurama doesn't ever get renewed again and 6ACV26 is the last Futurama episode ever.
