Not to be the biggest dork in the world, but me and my friend are actually going as far as having a Futurama party - that how excited we are. Haha. Anyone else doing anything fun for the occasion?

Well, given that I won't be able to see it beyond the day later (obtain it through any means necessary), I probably will be avoiding every forum and site regarding Futurama.

Nothing much here because as far as I know the UK has no date, and especially not June 24th...

I think I'll be locking myself in my apartment, turning my phone off, and grinning from ear to ear. After its all over I might pause for a moment to think about the unfortunate people overseas who can't watch...then I'll probably watch the episode again.

I'll have my DVR set--and I also think I'll have my VCR ready, too; that's how old-school I am--and I'll either plant my butt firmly on the sofa downstairs (it would be so dorkgasmic to see the new episodes on our impractically large plasma-screen TV), or on this uncomfortable rocking chair-type thing up in my room, in front of my tiny TV. Either way, complete silence will be necessary, and I'll be on PEEL about 30 seconds after the episode airs.

Been invited to a Futurama viewing party, which should be fun.  Last one of those I went to, a dude came dressed as Bender.

I'll be at Ft Knox for basic and cursing the fact that it'll be a month until I can actually watch any of the new episodes.

Aside from watching and enjoying the new episode, I'm guessing the rest of the day will be pretty un-eventful for me

You do realise there will be two episodes that day?

Two episodes? Damn that means I need to look twice as hard for an upload.

Myself: Unless I can download the episodes, I will be avoiding PEEL and #fc for fear of spoilers.

Is it callous of me to say that my favorite part about being an American is that new episodes of Futurama are much more easily accessible here than they are elsewhere?

Quite possibly the only reason I would ever want to be American...

You don't have to be American, you can just be there with a cable subscription.  Or watch someone else's.

Hm, you raise a good point.

So I'll just buy plane tickets to somewhere in the US then and mulch in on some unsuspecting family. Sounds about right.

As long as they have a TV...

I'm going to be how Roger from American Dad was when he was getting ready to watch that 'Barbra does Celine' concert!  I'll have a bowl of popcorn, some candy, and a soda!   But I won't have a dead bird!  ;)

If there's going to be two episodes, then that's even better!

Glad to hear you are already ashamed.  Futurama, unlike most animated sitcoms, can be enjoyed while in full optimal and functioning state.

I going to have a Futurama party only no one will be there. Maybe I'll scatter my toynami action figures all around me in a big circle and pray the Futurama deity while wearing my futurama underpants. O and a lot of chinese food and pizza. A giant orgy of food and plastic and the deity of Futurama.

I'm having a Futurama party at my house! Anyone who is reading this who lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia or near-abouts is free to come. You know, as long as you're not too much of a weirdo. Just PM me for details.

I would, but Federicksburg is too much of a drive for me. Three hours without traffic, and I'd be fighting Beltway rush hour traffic no matter when I left. Thanks for the offer though!
