What part are they working on - how to get more than one elbow in there at a time?

Actually, I think it's more like Jimmy Fallon's line on SNL.

Its probably more cost effective for fox not to answer fans. I mean, were all still gonna watch the show right??? grrr... dumb fucks

Still, you gotta get a warm feeling inside when you realize fox is quickly slipping to the bottom of the big non-Cable TV companies... i mean i remember reading a post about how UPN beat it out in ratings one... Jeeez.. UPN.

I was just reading the new issue of "Entertainment Weekly" today and there is a large-ish review of this episode in there.  They give it an A- and ask why the show is so underappreicated.  At least someone gets it.

They had one drawing of Leela facing a torn shirt Kirk about to fight against a desert background.  If I am correct (and I may not be, it's been a while since I've seen Trek) it's a parody of the famous fight between Kirk and Gorn, I think.

Ohmygod...the thought of Leela stomping Cap'n Kirk a set of new mudflaps gives me a frickin' stiffy. (He probably reminds her of someone, yes?)

I signed the petition and sent emails and wrote snail mail. So did a lot of other people, and it didn't work. I think its time we went over their heads, and bring down a major load of media down on them. I already posted a topic about one Idea, think of more and post. And be serious about it!    The only responses I got to my topic were jokes. I like a good joke now and then but it seems like noone was taking me seriously.  :(

    A thought occurs:

Boycotting and pressuring FOX won't work, because their executives have their heads too far up their asses to notice the common fan.  However, if we can pressure the ADVERTISERS, we might be able to get more of a response.

I have a plan.  Write to FOX and all the newspapers.  Tell them you think Futurama is vile and disgusting and should be taken off the air.  Make as big a fuss as possible.  Watch as the audience skyrockets.

OR better yet, why doesn't everybody watch that 80's show, and all the other FOX crap, but switch over when the adverts are on, then back again.

Someone will notice that nobody is watching the adverts, and they'll pull out of advertising on FOX. If everybody actually pulled out of FOX's pockets, they'd go bankrupt, and have to sell Futurama to another network in order to raise money.

From TVTome.com:
April 22, 2002

Futurama's season finale brought in a respectable rating of 4.5/8, beating out ABC's 2 hour World Music Awards. This is quite good considering Futurama is in the worst timeslot possible, and having been moved around and pre-empted as much as it has, it's a surprise people still remember it exists.

Pretty much sez it all.
