Watching A Bicyclops Built for Two, its funny how many failed weddings Leela has had. And I'm sure there will be many more to come!

Next up, a clone of my own. One of my personal favorites.

I just watch a whole disk at a time.  It's easier that way, and I'm already on season 3, so when it gets to 19 days to go, I can go with my original plan of watching a disk a day.

I already watched season 1 and 2 a few weeks back, before this countdown started, so I'm just going to start watching season 3 next week. Can't wait, Amazon Women in the Mood is a favourite of mine.

I am soooo far behind with this thing (my life is too interesting, I suppose--either that or I am so lazy that I can't even be bothered to watch TV); I just finished up season one today. While I still love "When Aliens Attack" (the introduction of the Omicronians is so great), I have to admit to not thinking much of "Fry and the Slurm Factory." Maybe it's because I've never seen Willy Wonka, or maybe it's because a lot of the we're-boned storylines from season one strike me as too similar and cliched, but while the episode has its moments (love the "That's no lady" bit), it is by no means the best of season one or of the series. In fact, there are a few moments (particularly Fry's "I've got it...no I don't" moment in act one, when he's trying to come up with a way to see inside the cans of Slurm) that strike me as very Family Guy-ish. I can't explain it, but it detracts from the episode for me, makes it a bit less special. Maybe I'm just picky.

Good news, everyone: Happily, I'm going to get to watch the new episodes because I'm keeping my cable for now. Thought I'd have to dump it when my evil employer cut everyone's hours, but my cable company worked out a deal with me where I pay a reduced price for several months. As part of this deal, I was supposed to lose my DVR, but the cable company never came out and got it, and I forgot *heh heh* to remind them, so I'm golden for now. Now I still get to watch Futurama, and it'll be cheaper! Thank god my cable company is so forgetful and incompetent. Crappy customer service rules!  :flirt: :laff:

"It's Fry!"
"Wiggles?!"

That's probably my favourite thing from today's episode. But it was nice to watch it having not seen it in a while, otherwise it's not that exciting an episode to me.

I watched that disc yesterday when I was watching Luck of the Fryrish. Pure coincidence that I decided I was going to search for my framegrab of the clover on the day that episode was in line in the countdown.

So yeah, I'll watch the next disc in a couple of days :D

Bendless Love tomorrow... not one of my favourites, I'll admit.

I'm a season behind everyone who's doing this episode countdown properly; I just watched "I Second That Emotion" and "Brannigan, Begin Again." They're both really great episodes, but I always forget about their greatness until I'm actually re-watching them. If that makes sense.

I get that as well, I think I don't really like an episode, then I watch it and realise just how much they actually make me laugh. I'm just watching the episodes as I feel like them, especially as we're coming up to a streak I'm not fond of, "That's Lobstertainment" being one of them.

That said, I watched from HHRHGB to The problem with popplers tonight. I like all of those episodes pretty much.

They're all pretty good.  The worst Futurama episode is still better than 90% of what's on the tube these days...

Still slithering along at my, uh, snail's pace here (do snail's slither? I just don't know)--last night I watched "Xmas Story", "Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?", "The Lesser of Two Evils", and "Put Your Head on My Shoulders." Three of those four episodes are among my favorites; the odd man out is "The Lesser of Two Evils." I just can't get into it, even though it has some funny moments (like Farnsworth calling a meeting in his bedroom, later reconvened in his bathroom). I'm probably one of the few people who actually prefers "Bendless Love" to this episode (if you want to consider one a continuation of the other, what with Flexo's appearances).

Bob Barker makes "The Lesser of Two Evils" awesome.  When they "bid" on the atom... priceless.

Just watched "Raging Bender", "A Bicyclops Built for Two", and "A Clone of My Own"--all really funny episodes. Bicyclops is in my top, y'know, twenty-ish; it's definitely one of my favorites of season two.

"Raging Bender" is one of those episodes that I always think I can do without, but then I re-watch it and am reminded of how funny it is. I love the various robots Bender fights (particularly the Foreigner: "I'm not from here! I have my own customs! Look at my cuh-razy passport!"). It's not my favorite episode by any means, but it's a nice reminder of how consistently funny Futurama is, even when the episodes themselves are less-than-memorable.

There's some great, typical futurama, out of left field dialog in this one:

The Destructor:  "I will destroy you!  And stop calling me..."

I have not even been following along I guess. I have just kind of been watching at my own pace, which is too fast. I will just have to watch through the whole series again, can't go wrong either way. No screw it, Ill start following along any way.

Watched "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back" and "The Deep South" today--two very funny, solid episodes. I'm particularly fond of Hermes's song.

It is a great song, and Morgan Proctor is great too. "Dirty boy dirty boy". "The Deep South" is a great episode as well. One of my favorite lines comes from "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back", when Morgan finds yogurt in Fry's cap.

Finally finished up season two today. "The Problem With Popplers" has to be one of the funniest episodes ever. And I actually didn't hate "The Cryonic Woman" this time around. That's somewhat refreshing.

I just saw "The Cryonic Woman" again last week, and it confirmed for me that I dislike it most out of all the episodes.  I don't like the character of Michelle.  Or, maybe it's just that I don't like Sarah Silverman...

My personal favorite is "Oh, God, no! I want to LIVE!" That water-wheel robot is what makes the episode for me.

As far as "The Cryonic Woman" goes, seattlejohn: I like the first two acts; I think they say a lot about Fry and how he really could not thrive anywhere but in the year 3000. The contrast between how he and Michelle adapt is interesting. I just think the episode deviates from that (in my opinion, intriguing) analysis in act three, which is pretty awful stuff.
