I am soooo far behind with this thing (my life is too interesting, I suppose--either that or I am so lazy that I can't even be bothered to watch TV); I just finished up season one today. While I still love "When Aliens Attack" (the introduction of the Omicronians is so great), I have to admit to not thinking much of "Fry and the Slurm Factory." Maybe it's because I've never seen Willy Wonka, or maybe it's because a lot of the we're-boned storylines from season one strike me as too similar and cliched, but while the episode has its moments (love the "That's no lady" bit), it is by no means the best of season one or of the series. In fact, there are a few moments (particularly Fry's "I've got it...no I don't" moment in act one, when he's trying to come up with a way to see inside the cans of Slurm) that strike me as very Family Guy-ish. I can't explain it, but it detracts from the episode for me, makes it a bit less special. Maybe I'm just picky.

Noone cares. 1. You just gave me a flashback to one of the commentaries. 2. Do it right: [*Chorus*] NOBODY CA-A-A-A-ARES. . . NOBODY CA-A-A-A-ARES. . . We now return to your regularly scheduled thread, already in progress. [* TWE-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E*] I'll just... ooze... back out under the broadcast-booth door now...

I'm a season behind everyone who's doing this episode countdown properly; I just watched "I Second That Emotion" and "Brannigan, Begin Again." They're both really great episodes, but I always forget about their greatness until I'm actually re-watching them. If that makes sense.

Still slithering along at my, uh, snail's pace here (do snail's slither? I just don't know)--last night I watched "Xmas Story", "Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?", "The Lesser of Two Evils", and "Put Your Head on My Shoulders." Three of those four episodes are among my favorites; the odd man out is "The Lesser of Two Evils." I just can't get into it, even though it has some funny moments (like Farnsworth calling a meeting in his bedroom, later reconvened in his bathroom). I'm probably one of the few people who actually prefers "Bendless Love" to this episode (if you want to consider one a continuation of the other, what with Flexo's appearances).

Just watched "Raging Bender", "A Bicyclops Built for Two", and "A Clone of My Own"--all really funny episodes. Bicyclops is in my top, y'know, twenty-ish; it's definitely one of my favorites of season two.

"Raging Bender" is one of those episodes that I always think I can do without, but then I re-watch it and am reminded of how funny it is. I love the various robots Bender fights (particularly the Foreigner: "I'm not from here! I have my own customs! Look at my cuh-razy passport!"). It's not my favorite episode by any means, but it's a nice reminder of how consistently funny Futurama is, even when the episodes themselves are less-than-memorable.

I have not even been following along I guess. I have just kind of been watching at my own pace, which is too fast. I will just have to watch through the whole series again, can't go wrong either way. No screw it, Ill start following along any way.

Watched "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back" and "The Deep South" today--two very funny, solid episodes. I'm particularly fond of Hermes's song.

It is a great song, and Morgan Proctor is great too. "Dirty boy dirty boy". "The Deep South" is a great episode as well. One of my favorite lines comes from "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back", when Morgan finds yogurt in Fry's cap.

Finally finished up season two today. "The Problem With Popplers" has to be one of the funniest episodes ever. And I actually didn't hate "The Cryonic Woman" this time around. That's somewhat refreshing.

Watched up to Obsoletely Fabulous today. Still love the cassette tape robot. "What?!" "Your mother." Heh heh. And the water wheel robot. Aww. I miss old times
My personal favorite is "Oh, God, no! I want to LIVE!" That water-wheel robot is what makes the episode for me. As far as "The Cryonic Woman" goes, seattlejohn: I like the first two acts; I think they say a lot about Fry and how he really could not thrive anywhere but in the year 3000. The contrast between how he and Michelle adapt is interesting. I just think the episode deviates from that (in my opinion, intriguing) analysis in act three, which is pretty awful stuff.
