Futurama Syndication Anytime Soon?

Does anyone here know if there are any plans to syndicate Futurama anytime soon? For those of you that don't know, syndication is basically the selling of episodes of a show to other networks. You know The Simpsons? That has been syndicated. It basically means that FOX has sold the reruns of The Simpsons to different stations all over the country, (some FOX stations, some UPN, some WB, etc.) These episodes are usually aired on weekdays at some point in between 4:00pm and 8:00pm and then again in between 10:00pm and 12:00am. Also, FOX still will have the right to show new episodes of The Simpsons on Sundays. Anyway, I've been hearing rumors that Futurama is being considered for syndication. It may be a bit soon condidering it's only aired 53 episodes and most syndicated shows have at least 100, but I still think it would be cool. So, does anybody know of anything planned for possibly next year?

i dunno, but i agree with you that there may not be enough episodes yet for sindication. I mean, they'd just end up showing the same ones over and over. perhaps when the show has finished airing.

At the moment nothing is known, if it is going to get syndicated then it can only happen when Fox have finished airing the backlog of episodes that have built up. If all goes well the it should have happened by about April/May next year.

Having said this Fox might order another season around February next year, it's only on hiatus at the moment. Lets hope Fox come to their senses and order another season.

There has been talk about syndication for Futurama, but it's unlikely to happen before the end of the next season (5th season).  Traditionally, that is when shows are offered in the syndication market.  Unfortunately, right now the marketplace already has the Simpsons and King of the Hill, so there may not be any room for Futurama.

Yeah, between FOX, WB, & UPN (the channels that syndicate the most shows) there is The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Seinfeld, Frasier, 3rd Rock From the Sun, Drew Carrey, Just Shoot Me, Home Improvement, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Friends. That fills up much air time. Still, with all these shows I'm sure that at least one of the three channels would be willing to buy and syndicate Futurama. Also, NBC, ABC, & CBS sometimes syndicate shows, but not usually.

I get the Simpsons:
5:00 PM on CBC
6:00 PM on CFMT
9:00 PM on Comedy Network
10:00 PM on CFMT (again)
and another one on fox at some time of night.
(THis is on Weekdays)

Well Futurama appears on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, Sunday through Thursday at 11pm,  followed by Family Guy at 11:30pm (those two shows get switched around alot, so who knows where they'll be next year).

Anyway that answers that.

What is Comedy Network, CBC, and CFMT?
Are those in a different Country then me (USA)?

CBC is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, so not a standard US fixture. I think that Comedy Network is a Canadian cable channel. I have no idea what CMFT is, but based on the other two, and Chump's location, I would guess it is also Canadian.
