According to my Digital Cable program guide, next Sunday, FOX is running "A Leela of Her Own", in which Leela becomes the first woman blernsball player.

Which means that they will finally have to explain blernsball.

So what do we know about blernsball so far?

From what I remember..the ball is on a string. No one except Fry got excited about it almost being hit of the park...so a homerun isn't what it used to be. The bases explode when tagged and The score card is writen in some Alien Language.

And if the ball goes into a tiny hole in the outfield, it's a really good thing.

And players can make great souvineers (help, edel?).

I don't no much but I think something important happens when the Blerns are loaded, the counts 3 Blerns and 2 anti-Blerns and the infield Blern rule is in effect.

"Yeah, and how many robot managers are there"...and to take a footnote from baseball lore "How many female umpires are there."

That didn't make any sense, you're just saying "blern" over and over

Leela then says, "That's all total gibberish except for the word 'blern'."
