Damn, we've been lost of that news thread for a while, eh? Perhaps no news to report? Ooo! Well, I don't really have something that is news news regarding the coming season and such, but I do like mindless praising. Or well, praising, especially when it is not mindless, such as the Guardian article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2009/sep/25/futurama-your-next-box-setIgnorance is the only excuse for not loving Futurama. If you're familiar with Matt Groening's animated sitcom, and it still leaves you cold, you clearly have no sense of humour. Damn straight, Phil Daoust.

Yeah, it's possible but it's much more enjoyable if you aren't.

I agree with one of the comments to the article, the guy shouldn't have decribed Leela that way when nobody knew that until season 4. It'd ruin that episode slightly on the off chance somebody hadn't seen it. I recalling reading reviews on Bender's Big Score back in the good year 2007, where I would commonly - if not all the time - see Leela described as a mutant. However, I assume it is fair, given how it was a review (so it would have spoilers) and it was a review of a film set after season 4. But every time you try to obtain some information about Leela on the Internet these days, she will 90% of the time be labelled as a mutant rather than an alien. Hell, I am not even using the spoiler tag here, because I assume all of you guys know. If not; tough luck! and get watching "Leela's Homeworld". Of course it is worth mentioning that she thought she was an alien and so did anyone else, but I have to say, it was not the biggest twist of the series.

Sky Jockeys sounds like another "sit down, shut up" or whatever.
I thought it sounded more like a spin-off with the jockey elves from The Simpsons...

Can The Cleveland Show Last? - I certainly hope not. The article tries to argue that some cartoons prevailed despite rocky starts, but others failed (an example he uses here is Futurama (but we all know the truth, eh)). I assume he made this article to prove some kind of point, that this new spinoff may not be lasting for as long as you might feared.

Wow, I feel embarrassed for letting this news escape me entirely. But TFP has it: http://slurmed.com/?p=news&date=2009/09/30_01Apparently, there will be a sneak preview of the first episode of season 6 (6ACV01) this weekend. So keep your space pants on, guys.

As much as i want to see new Futurama, I'd rather not see a sneak peak. I would want the first episode to be fresh and new. I wouldn't want to have seen part of it already, mostly because from this weekend untill 10 or so months from now I would be wondering how the episode would end and it would keep me up at night. lol BUT thats just me.

If the footage leaks there's no way I won't watch it, I'm useless at resisting, it's futile. I hope it does leak, I'm curious about it for sure...
