I just caught this one in ITWGY the craps shooter in the opening sequence rolls a cube root of 9 which is 3 and a 2 square which is 4.

I hope his point is 7.

Hehe, I like the background joke they used in "Space Pilot 3000".

You know, the scene where they're at Planet Express, and Bender literally shits a brick.  That one cracks me up every time!! :laff:

'Olestra chips' was the name of the crisps bender was eating.

In The Honking:

- At the reading of uncle Vladimir's will, Bender's cousin "Tandy" has
  Euro
TRaSh-80
printed on his torso.

- And in the castle, the name on the portrait in the dining room is

COMMODORE LXIV

Both TRS-80 and Commodore 64 are early examples of home computers.

Nope. To qualify as a joke it has to actually be funny. And the flying Windows logos just aren't.

That's my favourite.

Or you could dispense with the second part of the quote altogether if (as in this case) it's of no relevance.

I've just remembered my actual favourite non-verbal joke in the show.

In 'The Day the Earth Stood Stupid' when another train crashes into that train-crash on the news and lots of people run on board the wreckage. The bit that does it for me is the business-man with a briefcase.

Funny is so subjective. Will we have a poll on what is considered funny here?

In BBS when Lars takes Leela to the head museum at night, and they talk to Charles De Gaulle's head...

Cartman from South Park's head is in the background, up on the top right of the picture.

Made me chuckle when I noticed it.

I'm a bit fuzzy on my craps rules, but I don't think it's possible to have 7 as a point, is it?

My favorite background joke has to be "The Nation of Joe" from Bend Her.

(edit: I forgot to quote the last post to make this first line relevant to anything.)
No, it is not.  7's are evil when playing craps.

I'm surprised no one else mentioned the "Rook Takes Pawnshop."

The guy would be considered a rook for giving low value on pawned items.
The "rook takes" another variation of that.
Plus the whole chess thing.
Must have been Stuart Burns.
