I'd like that coffee machine that serves you and asks what you want in your coffee. That is, until it gets commanded to take over earth and starts spraying all the coffee at you.

I find it disturbing that so many people know who tubgirl is.  I am unfortunately one of those people.

I have to agree with the Barb-O-Mites... now that is convenience that might take 1000 years of technological evolution!

Technically, I don't think that technology 'evolves', per se. And even if it did, 1000 years isn't enough time for any noticable change to come about.

I meant evolution in the sense of its continual progress.  But the thing that bothers me more about your comment is that 1000 years doesn't change much! There are people alive today who saw radio, aeroplanes, nuclear weapons and energy, television, space travel and the Internet all developed in their life time. A few of those are clearly related hence the term 'evolution'... you don't think in 1000 we'll notice any difference from today?

Well, it was way back in early March.

am i in the right forum? did that clown thread take me to some nexus of the universe...

You are at the corner of First St and First St.  Wait?  How can the same street intersect itself?  I guess you are at some nexus of the universe.

I agree.  It will allow you to see the consequences of your actions before you make them...allow you to know how to proceed.  Or at this point, what could have been if you made different choices.  But as they say, it is never too late to change!  wink

EDIT: The WhatIfMachine would be great for me trying to get a job.  No more Human Resource person stumbling block.
