Hi all. Does anyone who lives in London or knows the area know of an easy to find place to get the Futurama DVD's?  My aunt is a flight attendant for American Airlines and she flies to London every week.  I'm thinking of asking her to pick me up a copy when she's there if it's easy enough to find.  Near the airport would be best.  Forgive me if none of you live in London, but I know there are members who are in the UK.  Any help would be great!   :)

I don't live in the UK, but I just bought the set from Amazon.co.UK. At current exchange rates, my total was approximately $48, which amounts to about $3.70 per episode.

I should point out that, although I cannot guarantee this will be true if/when you visit, this was less than their displayed price.

WH Smiths which is in most Airports sell it where I live (not London) but otherwise if she can find them I guess places such as MVC, HMV or Virgin have them (at a guess).

Thanks for the info.  I'll see if she knows if there is a WH Smiths in the airport she goes to.  What does MVC and HMV stand for?

To be honest with you - I havnt got a clue - its just the names of the shops. MVC could be Music and Video Centre (?) and HMV could be Home to Music and Videos (?). Just guesses.

HMV is (apparently) "His master's voice" after a dog who listened to its owner's voice or something. That's why their logo is a dog with a gramaphone.

I don't live in London but I have been their many times. If your aunt ventures outside of the airport then the best shopping areas are "Oxford Street" and "Piccadilly Circus".

Oxford Street is almost a mile long and is full of shops, as mentioned by others HMV, Virgin Megastore are the best bets. there is a huge one of each in Oxford Street. Also WH Smiths, Woolworths, Our Price and MVC are good places to look.

Also in Piccadilly Circus there is a huge shop called Tower Records that sells loads of home entertainment stuff like Cds and DVDs. There is also another Virgin Megastore there and I think it's open 24 hours as well.

It was worth checking more than one shop, if possible, as the price can vary quite a bit.

Thanks for the info guys.  I'm going to see if I can score one that isn't all wrecked up this way.

I got mine from MVC at £30, which was £2 cheaper than a friend of mine that ordered from the internet.
