Hooray! Welcome back danny-dude! I think the premise behind Attack of the Killer App was funny. The meat of the episode that is. And Fry competing with Bender on who would get a million followers first was funny too. Everything else seemed just thrown in there for a cheap quick laugh, I agree, but then it dragged on further. Ther vomiting diarrhea animal was just bad. SpaceMaN I rather enjoyed In A Gadda da Leela, but maybe because in my view I don't really think of it as an episode. It makes a better DVD extra featurette/short film than an episode, like when they put those lil Zapp comics at the end of the regular ones. It does stand apart from the canon of the rest of the series.

I think that kinda makes it worse... that it had some really solid ideas in there, but completely failed to exploit any of them to their full potential. I think Futurama's pop culture references work best when they're sly asides... but having one whole episode with not only the A story (Bender and Fry vie for Twitcher popularity) but also the B story (Leela's boil) entirely propped up by them... no, sorry, FAIL. And could "Susan BOIL" be the most atrocious pun ever used in Futurama? It may even be the most atrocious pun ever created by mankind, full stop. The vomit creature really sums up my feelings quite succinctly. IAGDL was great for the Zapp comics... and the gag about magnification not creating additional detail... but apart from that OH DEAR GOD DIG OUT MY EYES WITH RUSTY HOOKS. V-GINY? Really? That's the best they could come up with? The ending was a joke - of the pathetic nature... Danny: Positivity costs extra.

Don't hate me for this, but I feel that there isn't a bad episode. Sure there are weaker episodes but each one has certain aspects to it that makes me smile with glee.

Yeah, me too. Sure, there are some episodes that are more boring than others, but there are no episodes I can't stand watching. Then again, there are some scenes of some episodes that I almost have to close my eyes when they pass, but no entire episodes.

What would those be?

What would those be? Like the Leela undress scene in 6ACV02. So out of character I could cry.

You mean Positives?
I meant the neutrality displayed towards the lesser episodes, but if you still find them more positive than neutral then fair play...

In a Gadda Da Leela should have been a special DVD featurette, not an episode.

I'll go one further and say it should've been rejected at the table read...

Yeah, I disagree. It's a good episode in comparison to most TV, and it's good for a laugh. It's just not on par with the rest of Futurama, making it seem quite sucky in comparison.

What I mean though is that it should have been replaced by something better at table read stage, or had a thorough re-write to iron out the many flaws. It shouldn't just be "good enough" and have Futurama's name branded on it. That's just my opinion though...

Much like The Futurama Holiday Spectacular and That's Lobstertainment!... No idea why everyone hates The Cryonic Woman, maybe I like it just cause it features Applied Cryogenics, but oh well...

I've never had a big problem with either The Cryonic Woman or That's Lobstertainment! to be honest. Not memorable episodes, but not bad either. I agree with you on In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela and The Futurama Holiday Spectacular though, big disappointments.

I've never understood the complaints about Michelle though. Ofcourse she is annoying - that is the point of the character. But by the same logic Zapp is annoying and we should hate all Zapp-heavy episodes, like Love's Labours Lost in Space or Brannigan, Begin Again. I don't mind Michelle once in a while, but obviously I wouldn't want her as a primary character.

She was actually quite nice at the beginning of the episode... Soon as she persuades Fry to get in the Cryotube with her she becomes an annoying bitch.

No, she's always annoying... she just acted nice right in the beginning to make sure Fry trusted her again, then she returned to her old self. And ofcourse that made her even more annoying. :P

Zapp is a hell of a lot funnier than Michelle though, and Futurama is meant to be funny...

I'm sure Michelle could serve a purpose in the show as the bitch ex-girlfriend we love to hate, but as long as the rest of the episode isn't dragged down because of it. It seems somewhat coincidental that The Cryonic Woman went from a really decent episode to a train wreck soon after she arrived. Perhaps this was more down to the storyline than her character, but her character fuelled the storyline. I guess we'd have to see more of her to know for sure, but I wouldn't mind not seeing her again let's put it that way...

Holdiay spcieal is well special :P I just dont understand how they made such a horrible ep! Same seuquence of events in every part
It had a tough act to follow after the previous two top notch Xmas eps from the original run, but it failed so tremendously that not only does it not deserve to be cited alongside those two; it doesn't even deserve the Futurama name. I almost feel dirty owning it on DVD. Utterly terrible episode, so bad I think a certain Calculon line would sum it up best...
