Looks like Maurice wasn't lying when he said "you guys are gonna love this episode in 9 months"
I like it already...plus those three minutes were just as funny as the whole of any episode of family guy last season...so hopefully no decline in quality

I agree, whats with bender having a skeleton though, futurama oh my god i love this show so much i can't believe its back. That preview was great and a bit more graphic and ruder seems to work better in my opinion yay comedy central.

The opening is hard-hitting and definitely an attention-grabber. A brilliant move by the Futurama crew. Even though it did make me cringe a bit, but hell, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Better than pissing me off or putting me to sleep.

Exactly. Surely the Futurama gang at the Con didn't seriously expect the animatic to remain secret for long. I myself debated whether or not to watch it...for about half of a millisecond. I'm weak, I tell you, weak!

Nibblonians.  That's the only explanation I can think of.

I actually felt kind of sick after watching the animatic.  I don't think it was the shape of the bodies so much as who the bodies belonged to, but I definitely shared Fry's urge to screech like an unholy banshee.

As I got it Fry had been unconsicous, yes. If he had been awake he would have changed his clothes and combed his hair... maybe.

I really like this beginning, because it's kind of reminiscent of The Pilot; everything kicks off real quickly with lots of jokes as well as explanations, long before the actual opening sequence.
