That was John DiMaggio recreating one of his "Professor-offs" with Billy, I believe (from "Space Pilot 3000"). :)
You're right. I was mistaken. Now I feel compelled to do the apology dance.

And I'd forgotten about "Nobody Cares!" Thanks for reminding me, SpaceMaN. Now if I could only remember which episode that was.

Jezzem, I haven't heard the commentaries because I only watch Futurama on TV and streaming on Netflix.

I'm acting astonished!

So lemily, does that mean you don't have the seasons on DVD? Or is it just easier to watch them on Netflix?

........................Yup.

Actually, I don't have the latest season. Mostly because I don't want to spend the money right now. But also, I must admit, because I didn't like it quite as much as the other seasons.

I'd rather have action figures. :3

I'd rather have Airfix kits of the Nimbus, and the PX ship, but sadly, nobody makes them. Somebody's missing a trick.

One of my favourite commentary moments is from The Sting.

Matt: So Patric, how did this episode originate?

Patric: Well, we were all sitting around in the writer's room, and they were paying us, and so we felt obliged to do something

Don't worry, I haven't listened to the commentaries either. Mostly because by the time I get around to watching the show again, I need to watch it without new noises, because it's usually when I'm studying and there is a requirement of having entertaining background noise without having to focus my full attention on it. Mostly.

I would like to listen to them one day...

I thought listening to the commentaries was one of the requirements for joining PEEL.
Also giving up your first-born but you know, these rules aren't hard and fast.

Luck of the Fryrish, when they're going through Fry's old basement looking through records.

Ahhh, yes, now I remember. John DiMaggio was bragging about meeting Anthony Michael Hall or some such.

Another hilarious commentary is the one for "Amazon Women in the Mood". Matt Groening admitting he loves the song "Funky Town" precisely because it isn't funky at all, Maurice LaMarche's Shatner impersonation... John DiMaggio saying in a slightly disbelieving voice, "I just said 'Gimme summa dat" to Bea Arthur."

Can't remember the episode right now, but Maurice LaMarche says in the commentary, "I'm not even in this one." and then he's the first voice two seconds later.  :laff:

I've always been fascinated by -- as well as a little envious of -- voice actors, and Maurice LaMarche is definitely one of my favorites.

Oh, and to steer us slightly back on topic, here's something Futurama-related that I've decided to try my hand at: a crocheted brain slug! Ain't he/she/it a cutie?

Oh wow Question Machine that is great! You could make bank on doing stuff like that! PEELer Ninaka actually set up her own crocheted hat store online.

Ah... Perhaps I should have clarified! I found the pattern for this online, and I'm trying it out to see if I can actually do it. It's not finished yet. That's just a picture of the finished product.

Sorry for inadvertently lying to you all!
