Note to FOX:  I have not only purchased this DVD in Blu-Ray for my home, I've bought two separate copies in standard def for a couple of friends as gifts (via amazon.com).

Note to FOX:  Bring back the series or we'll send the Dark Ones to incinerate your brains, then grind up your remains into a canister of Torgo's Executive Powder.

Thanks I_C. And  speedracer, from what I hear, they'll sort out a new series or something else like it as long as we as the brilliant audience must do something about it. For now, just buying the DVDs and all merchandise.
If someone from FOX is here, which lets face it is deemed unlikely, I hope you see our fan base is pretty huge and that we appreciate it's returned although granted that some plot on some of the films are not as perfect as the series, hence why we'd rather have it return as the series.

Same here, but it raises my hopes more. I really can't wait for this, and I know I will love it, no matter what now.

Okay I really CAN'T wait, so I am going to watch it now. I watch it multiple times anyway, so I will watch it now and when it comes in the mail.  :)

i cant wait to see what the back, sleeve and disc look like. (im a sucker for cover art)

Also in Bender's Big Score the disc was one of the gold plated death stars. in BWABB it was the earth shield and in Benders game it was the dark matter crystal. I'm curious what you guys think its going to be this time. My guess is a poker chip or the dwarf star system.

Okay so I just watched the whole movie, and as a whole, thought it was really great. The comedy was mostly slapstick, and I got a few puns here and there. The ending truly surprised me--I had no clue that that would be the one.

Hey PEEL, it's been awhile.

I saw ITWGY on Thursday and I loved it. BBS is still my favorite of the movies, but this one comes in a close second (with the other two tied for last - I really didn't like either). Lots of laughs, and great plot, and perfect characterization makes it feel like Futurama through and through. Can't wait for the commentary.

I'm waiting until the release date to get my copy.  I saw a framegrab and it looks like some characters are going to jail.  Is it true?

Only the female ones. I won't ruin Bender's reason because it's really funny if it comes from him.

BTW, anyone know where to get the film in an iPod format? Just for the Amsterdam trip in case there's no DVD player

Just download the standard film, then download and install Handbrake (from handbrake.fr) and convert it using the iPod preset. Add it to iTunes and it should go on your iPod no problems.

Did anyone else have little PEEL related laugh at the grizzly bear that had been lightly tormented?

No offense meant, Bear. ;)

Except:

Brainspawn as the dark ones would make sense since they know about Fry's lack of the D.B.W, although the Dark One would know before hand.

I've watched it quite alot since the past week and I haven't got bored of it yet.

I also have a subtitle file. I'm trying to change that to a transcript, which is saving half of my time.

I think it has the best instant replay value of the lot. Except BBS, but I think that was just cause that was the first.

ITTWGY has that same effect after a year of getting used to new releases. I think they started and ended the films on a high.

I like how Leo walks for some reason. See below.

And I kinda like the sauce on the Number 9 Shirt joke.

Additional: I have an idea, when the DVD is released, why don't we try and get everyone that has seen ITWGY have the avatar below (May need some assembly)
I'd do a proper one but I was in a rush.

Perfect, Bubblegum Smarty. That change will happen next Monday, now that I've gotten used to Hucth. I feel sorry for my long lost sister, but I found her Femi-necklace.
I'm going to be myself but make you think I sound like Hutch. And wear the tin foil hat.

SoS, go for it if you want. It's not permanent, just for a week. 2 weeks if we count the Australians.

It's not a nice thing to do though is it. I loved the moment because of how well it was handled and, good as Smarty's avy is, it can never sum up that moment of the movie for the uninitiated.

I've decided I cant do it, it wouldn't be fair.

Viva Mars Vegas.

Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon, and Buggalo Bill's.

Excalibur, and Excalibot.

Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas, and its equivalent in Mars Vegas.

Mandalay Bay, and Botany Bay (I think the name here is because Mandalay Bay is a tropical jungle-themed resort, I'm not sure)  (EDIT:  Never mind, it's a Star Trek reference.)

The Mirage, and the Miragio (a combo spoof of the Mirage and the Bellagio, both of which are owned by the same company).

The Bellagio fountains at night, and a similar set of fountains at the Wong.

The New York New York roller coaster, and the equivalent at Mars.

The Venetian, and the Venutian.

The Wynn, and the Wong.

There were other casinos in the intro that seemed like they were spoofs, but I couldn't quite identify them (for example, there's a tiny underwater casino that looks like Caesars Palace, but I couldn't quite identify the joke there).

Yeah, that's actually pretty awesome, good job.
(The Botany Bay thing would also be a pun on Bot, of course).
I've only ever been to Vegas once, and that was when I was 12.  My friend and I tried to sneak into some of the casinos..

Yeah, they did a great job of "Futuramatizing" Vegas. They are really similar. Without the pictures I would have just thought of them as original designs though, since I have never really seen Las Vegas...

Botany Bay is a Star Trek joke. I felt it was the funniest of the casino jokes.
