Hi
I just watched Benders game, and since I'm a physics student, I just love some of Farnsworths lines on quantum physics.
When he talks about that pure anti backwards energy crystal, he says that if the two would ever meet, their wave functions would collapse like Raymond -somethings- trampoline.
Does anyone know who's trampoline he's refering to and why?

I am guessing he was referring to either someone who makes really bad trampolines, or, some famous person named Raymond who is fat and jumps on trampolines, thus breaking it.

I am leaning towards the second one, but I'm just guessing.

Yeah, I was thinking that maybe it's someone famous in america. I'm from sweden, and sometimes I don't get the jokes referring to less famous people...

I've been meaning to look this up myself.  Turns out Ramond Burr is this guy.

Raymond Burr was in a wheelchair in Ironside.

And the reference to Raymond Burr collapsing was from the introduction to each of the shows in the series, which portrayed a black and white silhouette montage of a sniper's reticle being superimposed over Burr, then the crack of a gunshot followed by the Burr silhouette collapsing to the ground. iirc.
