So Sky 1 is going to show Bender's Big Game next week 6pm 26th Octomber which is good but the downside about it is that the channel is going to split and feature into maybe three to make it as episodes which I think it sucks. They going to put three hours of the Simpsons so why can't they put the full length of Bender's Big Score!

Less Simpsons more Futurama

Hi there,

I saw the trailers whilst watching on Sky One today & had a quick look in the Sky Magazine to see if there was any further information & it just added to the confusion:

"DO THE ROBOT!

NEW FUTURAMA
sun 26, see your on-screen Sky guide for details/ Sky1 (106)

The future is shiny and grey! Yes your fave robot Bender and his pals are back for a long-awaited sixth season. The Plkanet Express Crew embark on a host of crazy and potentially catastrophic adventures in 16 brand-new episodes. Expect to laugh until you're on the brink of short-circuiting."

The confusing thing is that the trailers were clearly scenes from Bender's Big Score but there's no way that they could make 16 episodes out of this; which would still be impossible if they were to throw in Beast wtih a Billion Backs.

There again, it does mean that Bender's Game will have been released before the end to the run, so perhaps they're going to chop this up as well (not good for the DVD sales that are needed to convince the powers that be just how popular a move it would be to actually make a few new series).

Still, can hardly wait.

BTW. Got to agree with the observation on The Simpsons, which has been going steadily downhill for years now.

Oh I have watched the DVD several times, but just like with the boxed sets, I still catch it every time it comes on the box. I think Sky can monitor the viewing figures for each channel & I figure that it'll help make sure they keep showing Futurama .

To be honest, they've hinted that the episodes might just have some bits added to make them work better in this format, so I want to see if this really is the case/

Just did a search on the Sky 1 website & found this link to all the information they are releasing about the new episodes:

http://sky1.sky.com/about-futurama

They're definitely showing the installments taken from BBS & BWABB & there's some good stills; though they do miss a lot of the regular characters.

When are they going to show them on channels that you don't have to pay for?

When do they ever do that with Futurama in the UK?
