Damn Fox Television and Cartoon Network's [adult swim] for dropping Futurama. Futurama is, and always has been, well drawn, well written and all around superbly done! And just what sort of animated sewage has it been replaced with?

Fox went with American Dad, an unfunny story about a jerk-off dad with a government job who's secretly harboring an effeminate, alcoholic alien. The funny is just staying away in droves on that one.

And what about [adult swim]? They drop Futurama, but keep total garbage like Sqidbillies, Assy McGhee, Tim and Eric, Tom Goes to The Mayor, and Saul & the Molemen? Is there no drug testing at [adult swim]? Anyone with a day job usually can't stay up late enough to see all the good stuff on [adult swim], because in between two blocks of pretty good animated entertainment, is a massive block of garbage.

In a perfect world, some one with influence would bring back Futurama, the tv series, with all new episodes. It really grinds my gears the way the Fox and Adult Swim have done Futurama!

Now that I've got that out of my system, its snack time! Who wants pie?

Take this to another thread. There was no reason to make your own.

Adult Swim wanted to renew Futurama's contract (and if they had the money, the series), but they were outbid by Comedy Central. Trust me, Adult Swim wanted to keep Futurama as it was one of it's highest-rated programs along with Family Guy and those odd animes. Comedy Central, being Viacom and all, just won by power.

Fox is like any other network, a business and as a business it's their duty to drop programs bringing in low revenue. Sure you can argue bad marketing etc but the industry is all about what succeeds at the time.

"the obvious"

these rants have been done to death for years..
