The FOXecutives have already given us one of the items on our "Save Futurama" wishlist: an extra time slot.

While many of us wanted a later slot Sunday nights, perhaps this one--late Thursday night--will work better. It's a little TOO late for my liking--9:30pm PST?! After TWO episodes of we-ain't-got-no-backlog "Family Guy" and YET ANOTHER episode of "King of the Hill"!??!--but if it gains viewers, then Go, Man, Go. Perhaps the FOXecutives are hoping the "Guy" and "Hill" episodes will draw some in; perhaps they're just grasping at straws hoping SOMETHING will save Thursdays for them...

Then there's the fact that Thursday Nights are, for the time being, Rerunarama. This too, might not be soooooo bad for the first couple of weeks. I would've started off with the pilot episode, but "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" and "The Problem With Popplers" are two of the funniest "Futurama" eps ever, so perhaps that, too, is a good idea.

(In "Shoulder"? When Fry and Amy fall to the supply room floor, and Amy makes that little sound? Right there. It was brewing since the second ep, but that's when I officially fell in love with her. Less than ten minutes later, Fry officially became Dumbest Ass in the Universe, a title he locked down in "Parasites Lost." Meatbag Slurm-nerd. Let Fry be a pizza boy! Freeze ME!)

Boosting viewership is vital to "Futurama"s survival. Then the FOXecutives can start peeing away that backlog they @#$%!ing made all by themselves. But--loath as I am to admit it--our hated enemies may actually be making a good decision or two. What does youse guys thinks?

This looks real good. Usually I got nothing to do in Thursdays. But 9:30 Pacific translates to 11:30 Central, unless they make it 10:30, which is more logical. It could replace the late-night Seinfeld.

No no, FOX has two feeds. So pacific would get it at 9:30, just like eastern would get it at 9:30. I guess central would get it at 8:30.

Nope, I mean "Futurama" is a title. You'll find some people do strange stuff like that, or like capitalizing the first word of a sentence.

So who watched the episode last night?  Did it get a nice little intro before it started?

Oh, baby, you KNOW I watched it. (Have I mentioned I love Amy Wong? Yeah? How many times now? Really, that many...AMY! I WANT TO BEAR YOUR CHILD!!!)

The preceeding "X-Files" commercial finished with a list of Sunday programs and "Starting off with an all-new 'Futurama', FOX Sunday!" and then we got the FOX logo in some animation related to the upcoming movie "Ice Age." That's it.

It will be interesting to see whether the ratings on Thursday go up. Maybe Fox is trying the slot for the new episodes.
Anyway, it's great to have Futurama on twice a week.(Even though one is a re-run.)

I watched it!  It's nice to have Futurama on Thursdays, I hope it stays.  I missed this episode first time around, so it was like a new one for me.  I thought it was a great episode.

ratings were ... low ().
I have no clue if they made any promotion for the new time slot though. And well .. CSI kills anything in sight there.

At 9 p.m., CBS blockbuster CSI remained just that with a time period winning 17.4/25 [...] Fox's repeat combination of Family Guy (8 p.m. 3.6/ 5, 8:30 p.m. 4.1/ 6), King of the Hill (3.6/ 5) and Futurama (3.2/ 5).

Most of Fox's schedule is crap anyway, I don't know why they put Futurama on against the #2 and #18 shows on TV. Great network planning, Fox. There was hardly any promotion (big surprise), and of course the execs will look unkindly upon the poor ratings.
