I have every Futurama episode downloaded, except for the last one.  He's only interested in pure humor.

Which is the funniest episode?

If it's limited to the ones in the poll, I say "Amazon Women in the Mood." Since you have all of them, I'd suggest "The Bird-bot of Icecatraz." I got a couple of my friends hooked on Futurama watching that ep. Lots of funny stuff in that one.

I think Insane in the Mainframe would be a good one for that.  It's definitely one of my favourites.

A Flight to Remember is probably the funniest of all IMHO.  Of the ones above, I like Why Must I be a Crustacean In Love?

Of the ones listed: "Amazon Woman in the Mood".

Some funny ones: "Loves Labour Lost in Space" and "Roswell, That Ends Well"

"War is the H-word" is a very funny episode. I also recommend "Fear of a Bot Planet", "X-mas Story"(both parts) and the Amazon women episode.

I would have said that Xmas Story is probably the funniest episode with loads of great jokes, one liners, action, a great storyline and the whole crew intercting together very well. Also a lot of it is set around the Planet Express building which would be good for a 1st timer to get to know.

Personally, I'd try to avoid excessive sex for introducing someone to the show. I like sex humor, it just makes a weird impression if that's all you've seen. In that light I'll go with War is the H-Word, which is well-balanced and doesn't depend too terribly on already being familiar with continuity.

Tie your friend down, prop his/her eyelids open with matchsticks and force them too watch every episode. That should do the trick.  ;)

I would go for fear of a bot planet and anthology of interest 2 if they are geeky.  I would avoid going for the episodes based on sex, continuity jokes, and romance for the first time around.

The main hump is getting people who don't watch it to realize the show isn't just "The Simpsons" in space.

I'm an unoriginal bastard, so I'll go with Amazon Women. That one is great. Also War Is The H-Word or Roswell That Ends Well.

And if you're in america, be sure to force your friend to watch Put Your Head On My Shoulder this thursday.

Amazon Women, baby. And if not, a nice prefrontal lobotomy should do the job. Just don't cut out the wrong piece of brain, or you'll wind up with someone who thinks "That 80s Show" is the epitome of comic brilliance.

Just have them watch Malcom in the Middle, That 80s Show, & any Futurama episode & let them make up their own mind.

99% of Fox's lineup would fit the bill...    :laff:

It's interesting to note that Futurama is getting as many viewers as Dark Angel, and that show gets promoted all the time and has uber-hottie Jessica Alba in it. Not to mention it's really expensive to produce, the pilot episode alone was $10 million.

I'd say "Roswell That Ends Well", but it's not on the list, so I chose "War is the H-Word".

Xenomorph, borrow them your season one CD. That way, they'll be able to understand most of the stuff, like why Fry is in the 3kAD, why a giant lobster is pretending to be a doctor, why the professor is 160 years old, why the starship captain is one-eyed etc...

"Amazon women" is the best episode you can see for the first time. This and "Love labors lost in space".
