I don't know when it is out in Belgium, but you could order it now from the UK or some other European countries.

Just get the german DVD with English sound.
It's €35 or so. Link at CGEF (on the right). They usually ship within a few days to belgium.

I went to check out one of the stores i know that sells dvd's and stuff, and they said that allot of people is asking for the dvd box set of season 1.

they are sure that they will have it in the store    :) ,... but they dont know what the date is yet.

if i know anything more about the dvd box coming to belgium, i'll post it on this thread, for the belgian people on the forums.

JoJo, the Futurama box will *not* be released in Belgium. Fox has decided only to put out the box sets of their most favorite shows, i.e. The Simpsons, X-Files and BtvS. On the other hand, order the box from the UK as I did. It has Dutch subtitles. Cheapest store I know is http://www.bensonsworld.co.uk  they have it up for only 32 UK pounds, shipping included.

Oh, and don't get the German box. Get the UK box! The latter has Dutch subtitles, the former doesn't.

Information about the Futurama DVD box not coming out in the Benelux can also be found somewhere on http://www.dvd-home.nl

Who wants dutch subtitles ?  :p
Seriously though, the UK one will be way more expensive for JoJo as the pound is pretty strong against the Euro right now. The UK one costs 32 pounds at Bensons and amazon uk. That equals roughly €52 + money exchange fees. The german disks cost €35 + €6 for shipping to benelux. That's more than 25% cheaper...

Hey mArc and Werner Peeters,
thanks for the information.

I checked out the sites that Werner Peeters told me too, but on dvd-home, i dind't find aythin' on futurama.
Bensons sells the cheapest dvd box, your right about that.

but, if Werner Peeters says that the german (old) one has no dutch subtitles, i'll buy the UK one.

The dvd will not be released in belguim, but that store i checked out will have it on sale because there are much people who are asking for the dvd box.
maybe they will get it from the net too.

but if it takes too long before its in belguim, ill buy it from the internet (even if it is more expensive... cause i want my subtitles)

Hello, chumps and chumpettes, ;)
Tell me, how come that the UK DVD release is so expensive compared to the German one? Does the UK one have any extra stuff the German doesn't?
If so, What is it and is it worth paying more?
And by the way - MArc, dude, I could use english subtitles if You had them. I'm working on them myself now. I plan to translate it to polish so I can show the show to my friends who don't understand english, to share the joy with them  ;). I could save some time if I had the extracted subtitles. Do You got'em? Could you send'em to me maybe?
Cheers!

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same. English prices are always too high compared to outside areas but thats partly due to high goods tax and the greedyness of the big guys.

Yea, bloody 17.5% VAT on everything and it just being England, everything is more expensive here!

Don't You worry my friend - It ain't bad. Here in Poland VAT goes up to even 21%, goverment is twice as lazy and people earn 1/4th of what your average is.
But to be frank, that doesn't affect me as long as I have my fuel-cells charged  ;) What does, is that they don't air Futurama nor the Simpsons here (I remember early 90s when I recorded it from SKY 1 ;) and when I want to buy some DVD with cool series or a some more rare cds I have to look for it abroad. That sucks!

well, as werner peeters said, the (old) german dvd box did not have dutch subtitles.
the later one does.
maybe that's one of the huge prize differences cheerful chump was talking about.

so, i'm gonna buy it,or in that shop i'm still waiting for the dvd's to come out , or from the UK amazon site.

you never know, if i would buy it from germany, maybe they would send me an old version, and then i would't have my subtitles
