That's blasphemy Archonix!!! I like to believe that Fry and Leela would work out no matter what. KM73 they are only in PlanEx when they go between unverses so that would explain not running into anyone else. I really love the Professor heavy sci-fi oriented episodes they're always good. The title of this episode is brilliant. I love how they believe that all people from a paralell universe are evil.

Mirror, Mirror anyone...

Hey, Bendersfan, have you read any of my fics?

I wrote (and am currently rewriting) a very heavy 'Mirror, Mirror' parody, with a touch of DS9's 'Crossover'.

One of the most fun, and not a single non-regular was seen (unless you count the crew from Universe The Fighting Mongooses as non-regulars, with their slight differences that infuriate me). I wouldn't mind seeing them again somehow.

Great Episode

I've been trying to find something to name "The Fighting Mongooses" for years. Also I'd love to hear the story behind the line:

Leela: "I am not evil. My loan officer said so."

Funny side note. I was playing Halo 3 with some friends the other day. I ran into one and in the ensuing battle we both did the exact same things at the exact same time leading to each of us killing the other. My response was, "Perfectly symetrical violence never solves anything."

Everytime I have a team that needs a name I always suggest the Fighting Mogooses and it usually works. Nice on hte Halo thingy. A great time to use that quote.

Fry: Ow! It's hot! The butter in my pocket is melting.

I love that line. I like to say that when it's hot or som, ething people stare at me like I'm insane.

I have to say that the Professor(s) in "The Farnsworth Parabox" is the at the highest hilarity level that he ever attains in the series.  Leela also gets very high marks in this episode.

And, of course, it's a good episode.  Not 'great', in my opinion, but a solid 'good'.

Today, however, is "Three Hundred Big Boys."

Any episode which prominently displays the whole Kif/Amy thing gets docked a few points in my book.  That's just the rule.  Still, THBB almost makes up for it.  From the whale biologist to Fry journey to becoming a being of pure caffeine, it was fun to watch.  Even Zoidberg, who sort of annoyed me in FP, was entertaining.  I can forgive it for being light on science since it's well-endowed with fiction.

Unfortunately, the Annoying Guest Star Rule rears its ugly head.  Fortunately, the AGS Rule is a function of time, and Roseanne's was, mercifully, kept to a minimum.

Rosanne pisses me off everytime I watch this episode. I love to say "I'm a whale biologist." So that I can say what ever I want. Unfoutuantly people never get it.  :(

Yeah I remeber you talking about that Pazuzu on you story thread. Hint, hint Pazuzu Jr.

Pretty close, yeah. Rivaled in my opinion by TKOS though.

"300BB" is another one of those episodes that a lot of people don't seem to like much, but I do. Fry strung out on caffeine is fantastic. Overall the whole cast is fairly well-used and it's nice to see Fry and Leela sitting companionably. And I love the sign in the museum: 'Smoke with care'.
Or is it 'caution'? Either way.

I don't know if Roseanne really truly counts as a guest star for the rule.  She wasn't in her prime or anything when they featured her; in fact, it's like they featured her just because she's Roseanne, and just because they could.  That makes it more timeless than if they'd have found someone who was wallowing in fame right now, but wouldn't in 10 (2?) years.

I liked this episode, with the multiple-story format. It's a good way to bring in more characters without them being reduced to cameo roles.

Fry overdosing on caffeine was brilliantly done, I like how he was drawn with increasingly ruffled hair. Although, what was a hummingbird doing out at night?

Nixon going "The loot, the loot, the loot is on fire!" was hilarious  :) And is it just me or does Mom have an even bigger rack?

Finally, this ep is perhaps Zoidberg's finest role yet, he gets to play a slightly positive role at last!

I love Fry and the over dosing on caffine. When he's on his 50(?) cup and is like shaking and everything that's basically me everyday because I live on Coke just because of the caffine. Yeah I never could figure out why there was a humming bird there but whatev.

Wasn't the humming bird just showing how slow rel time was compared to Fry time?

Anyway, 300 big boys ws a good ep. I had funny bits, zapp and i liked the bit with the prof and the fat girls.

I use the whale biologist thing to get out of insulting people all the time. Unfortunatly it only works with my friends as they get it. I also think this is one of Scruffy's best episodes.

300BB has in my opinion Fry's greatest moment.

Fry: "Of course I've been up all night! Not because of caffeine. It was insomnia. I couldn't stop thinking about coffee. I need a nap. (Goes to sleep for less than a second and wakes up) Coffee time!"

Like I've said before, Fry and the coffee is me and Coca-Cola everyday. Gotta love Scruffy in this episode and his new hair cut rocks. You nkow what keep and eye on my drawing thread and you'll see Scruffy with the hair cut up hopefully tonight depending if I can actually watch a TV for more the 5 minutes. I haven't even had a chance to watch today's episode yet because of worka dn the fact the my house is filled with family.

It would be the same for me except I have no friends where I live now that actually like Futurama despite my best efforts to get them to try the series. It's like they have something against Futurama or just TV in general. I've bene trying for years to get people to watch Futurama here but they're all obsessed with realitly show or don't even watch TV at all in the case of one particualr "friend" who wont watch any TV at all uness we have towatch something for school but she'll run out and get the book on it if she can to avoid watching the TV.

"Spanish Fry"...it's like the Family Guy of Futurama episodes: funny in a shameful way.  Corny "woo!" jokes aside, some of my the best bits I've ever seen were in this episode.  (WOOO!)  Porno-dealing monsters, Bigfoot films, doing the Bender...

I liked Spanish Fry, dunno what people are complaining about. Some of the funny moments included Bender as a dog (in Fry's tent), the Neptunian porn, Ndnd and Lrr  :) I like how they keep taking pot-shots at each other.

Finally, the wine Bender serves is marked external use only  :)

Actually I didn't like it. I mean, yeah, good jokes, good lines and it did manage to tie the two halve together but, like Lrrr and Nd-Nd's marriage, it was basically two separate entities forced to cohabit without any love...

Seriously. It felt like two episodes mashed together. The Simpsons has been guilty of that sort of thing for years and it didn't please me to see it happening on Futurama, even if it is just one instance. I know it wasn't, I know that the plots intertwined but it felt like it. Perhaps I just can't stand the whole "help these people to save their marriage" angle.

I think you misunderstood me. Intertwined stories are fine, I write those myself all the time (original fiction fyi, not fandom). The complaint I had was that the two parts of the story felt very crudely drawn together. Spanish Fry, to me, felt like the writers had two plot ideas lying around (alien abduction and Lrrr's failing marriage) and decided to mash them together. They did a good job, I don't deny that, but the abrupt swing from the alien abduction story to the marriage counseling thing just felt a bit naff.

I think that it had that feeling being the second to last episode and they has another story that was going to air with like Lrrr's failing marriage as the plot or something but since it was never going to air even though they wanted it to they had to smash it together with another plot so it would.

This episode could have used less penis jokes definatly and couldn't they have used anything but reproductive organs... where was I going with this?

The first act of Spanish Fry seemed like from an episode of the Simpson post-10th season.

One more episode and then we get Futurama DVD.  I reserved my copy months ago.

Spanish Fry - Fairly dire, but like every episode it had its good bits. One was when Fry was walking in the woods looking for Bigfoot and talking to himself about how Bigfoot was probably misunderstood; I liked the noise he made when he was miming stroking an animal.

You're right... even the worst Futurama episodes are better than 99% of the crap on TV.
