I'll keep this short:

This film was very good, funny, and well-written, at least on the dialog level.  I thought it suffered one or two character derailment problems, and a few explanations didn't show any effort whatever
I applaud the writers for calling back to pretty much every single episode while still maintaining an engaging plot, although like most of you I disapprove of their treatment of JB and TLotF.  Devil's Hands I can live with, because Fry/Leela always gets a snap back.

Despite my complaints, I laughed, I loved, I learned...boring human stuff.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to the Weird Science forum to attempt to cram this movie into my pre-conceived theories of time travel in Futurama.  It doesn't bode well for me or the Universe.

3/4
Not as good as Serenity, better than Nadesico: The Prince of Darkness

First off, it's nice to see all the older posters back again.

Now for Zoidberg's my turn to review this moving picture!

Overall, pretty good. I'd give it a 8/10, so, for this poll's purposes, 3/4. Very good, but not the greatest Futurama ever. Could've used more Zapp and Zoidberg.

I was satisified with the "shippy" aspects but I think the rest was somewhat flat.  It was an interesting treatment of time travel and the paradoxes that may result.  It was great to see glimpses of some favorite characters (Zapp's bit was too short) and running jokes, but there was not much new or fresh material on the comedy side. I'm also concerned that when it is cut up into episodes and shown on TV it is not going to do much to win any new followers.  Maybe Comedy Central will always run the episodes in order so that by they time new viewers to the show get to the Big Score episodes they'll be converts already.

It may grow more on me, but right now I feel it's almost a stretch to give it a 3.

I loved the movie.
9.5/10 because perfection can never be met.

Loved:
Fly-mutant
"Hang on Scruffy!" (Bender's delivery of the line is fantastic)
Bender cutting off Farnsworth's hand with a dull saw, both times.  Plus the idea of Bender going back to hack off Hermes' precious torso.
How Bender ran over to Fry and jumped in his arms when he found out he was alive.
"Phillip, there's some kind of trash can here to see you"
A fleet of solid gold death-stars!
And obviously all of the emotion that has been the hallmark of this series.

OK, after a few viewings I'm finding more to laugh about since I'm not concentrating on the soap opera aspects of it.

I felt so weird laughing the hardest at Fry's smugness about his "plan" and Bender's response. I'm not alone! Huzzah!

Help me understand something. In the beginning,    Professor Farnsworth tells them that they were fired 2 years ago, and they are shocked. So obviously they've been working for those 2 years, no? But when Leela flies the ship, she mentions that she hasn't flown it in 2 years.
Explain to my brain. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm sure that the weak, thin explanation of the gap in the series is an overt joke in itself, so there will never be an official explanation that makes any sense.

I think for me, the biggest surprise was seeing David X. Cohen's voice come out of David X. Cohen's body at the beginning of "Bite My Shiny Metal X." I've listened to the commentary & seen pictures, but somehow that uber-nerd voice coming out of a regular (if scrawny) guy body was surreal.

On to the movie: on neither of my first veiwings did questions about past continuity come to mind. I'm curious to see if past episodes that have been diddled with will play the same as usual -- I suspect they will, at least for me.

I'm not sure what I expected. The date kind of sneaked up on me, so it was kind of a "oh yeah, that's today!" moment, meaning I hadn't been pining and yearning too hard. With that mindset, I do know the movie exceeded my admittedly nebulous expectations, and that I was chuckling the whole movie thorugh -- accusations that the humor was lacking ring false to me, although I was just so overjoyed by every reappearance and fan-pleasing self-reference that there's no way I can present my opinion as unbiased. I did notice the lack of a full orchestra, though.

So, basically, awesome work Futurama crew! Here's to a plethora of Lovecraftian tentacles in The Beast with a Billion Backs.

You know, it's kinda nice to come back after a year or two and realize that, not only is the site still running smooth, but people I remember are still posting... or posting again thanks to the new movie. I literally cheered seeing some of you guys again. This place is good times.

Anyway. I don't have much to say about the movie that hasn't already been said. That said, I'm going to say things anyway.

Internet, it has been so long since I've properly nerded out about this show. Thanks for listening, internet. I... I love you, internet.

I was touched by the Fry-Lars backstory. SEYMOUR and LEELOO...just made me squeak in cheesieness. I don't care. I loved it. I didn't really like Leela in this one either, she was so oblivious to Fry that it was rather sad. And I agree with El Zilcho about TDHAIPT. Otherwise I think it was pretty interesting with all the characters that they did use. I mean the ending was kind of cheesy using almost every character but it was alrigh. Here's what I think about the ending:

The Beast with A Billion Backs will either go like this (Due to the video I watched a TLZ):

My overall grade 8.6 because I didn't laugh in giddyness.

The DVD is not out in Quebec yet (which sucks, I was there day one to buy it but they didn't have it...), but a friend of mine had it on his Ipod and I couldn't stand not listening to it.

First of all, it was very conforting to have new adventures of the Futurama crew. God that feels so good to see them again. Overall the movie was pretty funny. I laughed a lot, I liked all the references of the show they did. The storyline was pretty good, too. It was enjoyable. but there were a couple of things that I didn't like :

Other then that, I liked it alot. Can't wait to have it in my hand. I'd give it a 8/10

To quote lovable Bender, I'm back baby! The story of my absence is a long and strange one, but long story short, going away to college means less time to post on messageboards. To those who remember me, good to see you again. If you don't, you SUCK! Naw, I'm just kidding, you guys are great! And now on to my big review.

Well that's my review. I give the movie two thumbs up for existing in the first place and eagerly await more installments.

Got Bender's Big Score yesterday.  I watched it, and I loved it.  I liked all the dubious time travel Fry and Bender did.  Leela falling in love with Lars was good, and everyone getting scammed that leads to homelessness was superb.  The rips on Al Gore were funny, and Fry going back to the past to bond with Leelu was very touching.  Bender tracking Fry down to kill him for the nudists aliens was hilarious.  The nude aliens were funny and Bender stealing things from different time periods was awesome!

It was great to see all the old favorites again, Nibbler, Ethan 'Bubblegum' Tate, Robot Mafia, Barbados Slim, and yes even Zapp all shined in this movie.  Bender's Big Score is a must-have for any Futurama fan!  The songs were good and it's very enjoyable from beginning to end.  I give it 5/5.  Until "Beast With a Billion Backs"!

First, bobbot, Yaweh is Jehveh is Jehova is Iehouah is Iehovah is Jehovah is Yehovah is Yehowah. They all mean the same thing, just different ways to translate the Tetragrammaton.

Kryten, why don't you want to be the god worshipped by a third of the world's population? It has its perks. It's either that or you're just showing your gratitude by throwing glorious gems at me.

Sorry mister Weiner, I was just making a little joke.  I really already knew that.  As well as the fact that all of those names refer to the God of Abraham, who is in fact Allah, the one true God.
That is ,I suppose, if you buy into the whole supreme being business.
