Probably January or Febuary
It was Febuary last year but to run the season without gaps, they can't start showing it any sooner than January. Don't expect it any sooner than the new year...

Jan or Feb, I cant wait that long.
Why dont they start showing 1 new episode every 2 weeks like the Simpsons used to do.

Channel 4 have done it again, why dont they just stick to simple timeslot.
I would have made sure I watched thursdays episode but I thought it would be repeated so I missed it.

They are returning to 6.00 next week, or did they change that too?

I've e-mailed C4 about this, just awaiting a response, if one ever appears that is.

C4 sucks! they They didn't cut the word "Ass" on futurama but they cut a lot of swear words on wwf Heat.

Finally got a response out of Channel 4.

They stated that Futurama has been cancelled today because of Halloween scheduling.

This is strange to say the least, they somehow managed to fit in a Hollyoaks Omnibus and the MTV Music Awards.

That's it C4 are offically back on my Black List.

One VERY UNHAPPY English Futurama Fanatic.

I think the MTV music awards probably pushed it off the schedule.

C4 dont know how to handle a great show, they hardly advertise it at all and then they mess with the time slots.
If it wasnt for the internet I woudn't even know that it was on C4.

SKY ONE will be showing Season 3 sometime in January.  They say that it'll be the complete series without any American style break-ups.

Good ol' Blighty!

Everyone pissed with C4--or any other broadcaster for that matter--should move to Germany and half a year later you gonna find yourself crawling back to whatever your prior most-hated-station was.

We got every darn show dubbed--and thereby every third joke killed and every title "translation" a synopsis, the credits cut out completely (I don't think any German viewer ever saw the 30th Century Fox joke), misplaced commercial breaks, you name it. And due to all that dubbing crap we get every show about oneandahalf year later...

Wish I haven't moved that far away from Denmark. TV2 sends everything Fox completely, no commercial breaks, full credits, everything. The only thing I missed compared to C4 was Babylon 5 and Crusade...

Greetings, Carsti

PS: After reading the HTML-version of my post, I tought it really got everything. I go an look up some synonyms for that word for future postings.  ;)

Thanks for the info Radfield.
I downloaded the Honking, very funny episode.
I saw the season premier of the Simpsons today and it wasn't great, the gap between Futurama and the Simpsons has gotten bigger in my opinion.

You all seem to have forgotten that Channel 4 was gracious enough to have taken the show on in the first place, 6pm isn't as bad as it could be, Channel 4 have other bigger shows to wory about, they also did try to make sure everyone noticed that it had started, by giving the premiere that 9:30 slot, and i think we're lucky to get a re-run on a 6pm show at all. do you see dicing with debt get a re-run? no, even the priory which did much better with ratings got a 2 in the morning re-run. Its not a great slot, but i think it was good of channel 4 to take the show on board at all.

Dont get me wrong, im grateful that C4 got the rights to Futurama, but I dont think they should mess with the episodes by censoring them, I wouldn't mind if there were no repeats just as long as it had a fixed timeslot and no censoring.

Yes I'm glad Channel 4 have started it but the only reason it's repeated on sunday afternoon is because Andi Peters (ex Live& Kicking presenter and T4 creator) liked the show so much he got Channel 4 to put it on during his show. I remember an interview with him about a year ago and he was looking forward to it. He has treated the show with respect and put it at T4's best time slot. I'm sure he would love to have it un-edited but at that time it's obviously not possible. If only Channel 4 were like him...

Yes, I understand why its not possible to have it un-edited at 1pm but I was talking about the 6pm slot which is also edited.

BTW are C4 going to go straight into season 2 or are they going to stop showing Futurama for a while after Season 1 finishes next week?

now I'm the last one who ever notices edits, but who could miss the garbage ep's porn movie internet gag being cut right out? Fry just pointlessly asked 'you got that movie off the internet?' and that was it! Grrr!

no Slurm... I was replying to Caped's message about Channel 4 being good guys.
The edits are really pointless:
They won't let Bender say he was watching porn yet they had only a few minutes earlier Ross and Chandler descussing a guy's bollocks hanging out on Friends (with phrases like 'Showing Brain')
Channel 4 will show at least upto Fry and the Slurm Factory after episode 9 but I don't know about any further...

Dammit I hope it doesnt finish there cos "Brannagan begins again" is the only episode I havent seen and I can't seem to download it.

It doesn't make much sense this double standard that C4 have and the fact that friends is actually on earier, you'd think that it would be more likely to be censored than Futurama.

I'm worried about "Hell To Other Robots"  cos I'm sure that Channel 4 are going to cut a lot of scenes from it. Mostley the Bender parts I bet!

another episode, another mauling from the editors. Hell is Other Robots got a full 1 minute 31 seconds cut from it including a bit from the song which threw the rest of it because it was out of rythmn (?) they also cut the opening phrase which was "condemned by the space pope".
What the hell was that? that wasn't offensive. And why did they cut Fry saying 'then he tryed to sell be my mom's VCR" come on Channel 4!!! what was wrong with that? It just get's worse and worse!

I watched “Hell to Other Robots” today and had my pen and pad ready to see which scenes C4 has cut, This is what C4 cut:

1) Bender saying “What kind of party is this, there’s no booze and only one Hooker”.
2) Fender said that he and his friends on jacking on and ask Bender if he wants a Joe.
3) Didn’t see Fender enjoying jacking on.
4) Bender “Well if jacking on makes strangers think  I’m cool I do it”
5) They cut the bit where Bender says “Laying in the gutter”.
6) Leela says “Bender are you jacking on in there”
7)  “Did he use his tongue”  was cut
8) Fry told Bender about his friend took drugs
9) Fry : “Here hookerbot5000”
10)  And they cut the magazine bit in the robot hell song….grrrr!

Why is channel 4 doing this? They should put Futurama at the later time or should not Show Futurama at all! The one thing I don’t understand is how come I watched Friends today, and C4 puts the word “Bitch” at 5.30pm, and On Brookside, where they have this lesbian issue like the gay kiss and the shocking sleep over, they show that at 8pm. Why don’t they cut it or put it at 9 or 10pm?

Enough said > :(

The cutting seems to be becoming more frequent and more ridiculous.
It seemed like something was cut every minute of the show and what was that about the space pope? Ive never seen the first few minutes of that episode.
I wish I had taped all the episodes while it was on sky one, so that I wouldn't have to rely on Channal 4 to see them again.

No idea about Sky, but I know Channel 4 are supposed to be running series 1 and 2 back to back - so theoretically next week's episode should be "A Flight To Remember" - But we'll see...I mean if Channel 4 start doing a BBC and pulling shows just to show facking sport, then they can go and stick their head in a pig!

If you hate the edits to Futurama do what I did and email Right to Reply here: http://www.channel4.com/r2r/
I did and while the right to reply IS on Channel 4 it's independant from the station and did a big article on the editing of Angel.
If they get enough emails maybe they'll do an article on it on the show.

More bloody stupid edits - In the last episode "Hell is other robots", they cut leela asking bender "Are you jacking on in there?"

A weird edit, considering that "Jacking off" is actually a piece of AMERICAN slang. Over here we say "Having a w@nk!" - So will someone go over to Channel 4 and kick Mary Whitehouse's sh!t filled retarded skull in?

Whilst we're at it - the amount of times the word "B@st@rd" has been edited out of things makes me laugh, but the Beeb made a gaff in last night's showing of The Simpsons by leaving in a part where Grandpa Simpson admits to stealing his room mates porn collection, to which the roomie replied "You B@st@rd!"

The fools, why didn't they tell anyone, they are hurting themselves by not advertising it, I havent seen that episode in ages so I would have taped it, if i'd known about it.
Will it be on at 6.00 or 6.30 this Thursday?

The C4 censors have struck again.

Cutting Bender's comment "Was that before or after you slept with him".  Was plane Grade A+ stupid.

After some of the cuts they've made and some of the stuff they left, they're getting ridiculous.

Sorry C4, but that's it.  Right to Reply here I come.

I missed this episode but I can't belive they cut that, this was one episode that I thought they might leave alone since it didn't have any swearing or anything offensive in it.

I have already wrote to Right to Reply.
I just don't understand channel 4, are they trying to turn this into a childrens show?
They must realise that this show was designed for adults and if parents don't want their kids to watch it, then thats their choice but why should the rest of us suffer.

Not only did they cut Bender's bit from A Flight to remember, they also cut some of Amy and her parents bit, and some of Zapp's bit But did you guys spot a new quote from the episode?

After the bit were Leela and Fry nearly kiss and they see that they are heading to a black hole , Fry quote: "Talk about a mood killer"  What the hell was that about?

How come that bit didn't show on Sky 1?
