60 new episodes?

It's four movies, not sixty episodes, hence the WS format.

Perhaps it's a misprint and supposed to be 16 instead of 60, but this was posted today from the Simpsons panel at comic con. 

I've been aware of the movies for some time as well.

Well if it's 60 brand-new episodes in additon to the movies, that would be three seasons worth at once, hence I am slightly skeptical.

 That's got to be wrong. I'm sure Comedy Central wouldn't buy 3 season worth of the show with out at least airing a sixth season. Doing that could be a fast ticket to loosing lots of money.

I'm pretty sure it was either a slip of the tongue or a typo.  The crew at the Futuama panel told us specifically they were doing 16 episodes (DXC or Keeler, I'm not sure who, even discussed how the each movie will have to have 12 "acts," three for each episode, forced into them for commercial purposes once they air on Comedy Central.)

Okay, that's not actually impossible.
It is, however, about as likely as the Israelis and Palestinians (sp?) kissing and making nice.
Y'know, on the order of 1 in 10E85.
Nobody is going to make a commitment like that without at least seeing the DVD sales and cable ratings numbers.
I'll shut up now...

Think about this:
Sixty.
Sixteen.
It's easy to hear "sixteen" and think "sixty".

Oh, and SpaceCase, Israel and Palestine aren't as bad as usual right now, because Israel's more mad at Hamas than the classic Palestinians, but this'll probably change before the end of the year, like usual.
