That's what I was thinking.  I'm still amazed it's coming back like this, and I'll wait as long as I need to.  Six months is barely anything compared to four years.

[My connection has been extra slow just now, so if this posts multiple times, that's why.]

It's like when you haven't eaten for a while, you start to get used to how it feels to be hungry. Then somebody gives you a bag of chips, and it's great for a while, but once you're done with them, you're even hungrier.

First broke on unpeel, the official release date for Beast With a Billion Backs is June 24th 2008.
I thought it would be a little closer than that, possible late March or April. But still, its always nice to have a date.

Shame about the date and the wait, but still nice to have something official. I can wait without too much pain because it can't hurt it, the quality is more important to me and so far this movie just feels right you know? It feels good, this time it feels like Futurama should!...

One thing I've been considering...if Bender's Game comes out around November, then Into The Wild Green Yonder ought to come out around the ten-year anniversary of the series in the spring of '99. Do you think that was intentionally planned?

Interesting; the run time for The Beast With A Billion Backs is 2 minutes more than Benders Big Score...

BBS - 88 Mins
BWABB - 90 Mins

I guess that explains why we've had to wait that little bit longer than we thought for this  :p...

I have a question for those that pre-ordered BBS from Amazon - did it arrive on the 27th? The reason why I didn't pre-order it from anywhere was because I was afraid it would show up late. I might consider  pre-ordering BWABB if it'll come on the 24th.

Dunno about Amazon but Play shipped them out over a week early. I had it here in England before it's American release date. I'm sure it won't be long before Play has it up for pre-order so if you want it before it even comes out then pre-order from Play....

I pre-ordered from DVD Empire like a week ago.

"The beast with two backs" is a euphemism for doing the nasty.

It's... it's a parody on the euphemism. Both of those titles are.

Xanfor, I love you.

Also, ha ha, Futurama is better than The Simpsons.

The only thing I have to say to that is, why is the Planet Express Building in that picture at the beginning of the article the wrong color?

Also, Beast With A Billion Backs comes out 100 days from today!

It depends on whether you start counting from now or from midnight tonight.  I figure I'll get my copy around midday on the 24th of June, so I start counting from midday today.  That makes the release date 100 days from now.

Nastyinthepasty has a good idea.  When "Into the Wild Green Yonder" comes out in 2009, it should be a 10 year anniveresy for Futurama.  Even though it's not planned that way.  It should be.

Does anyone have a good-sized version of that poster? The one on Wikipedia is tiny.  :(

But we're getting way off topic here. Hopefully it won't be too long before we see the cover art for The Beast With A Billion Backs...

Wow almost everything is screwed up. Fry's jacket and shirt, Leela's scrunchie, nibbler's cape, amy's hair. Maybe it's another palette swaped universe.

Well, since Amy's in a transport tube, that's probably why her hair and clothes look like that.

Incidentally, that's not the poster I was thinking of, it was this:

On the SP3K poster? Credits, a rating, that stuff. Oh, and 5¢ off your next  trip to a suicide booth (slow and horrible only).

I have that poster and I love it.

Groening, who also created The Simpsons, has told us that Futurama is the animated show he’s most proud of.

To give you an idea of relative size, Leela's pupil is about the size of a silver dollar. (poster on the left, of course)

I've got a copy of that poster on the right, but I haven't been able to find the other one.

OMG, something on-topic?!:
