Lost episodes?

Hello futurama fans.

I got a question here:

Why can i only see 9 episodes on the mainsite here on gotfuturama.com and on the DVD's. But if i look around on illegal sites i can find episode 10,11,12 and 13 from season 1? Same thing about season 3.

Anyone know where i can get them on DVD or?

There are two different kinds of seasons: production seasons and the FOX-abomination known as airing seasons.

There were 4 production seasons made (known as 1ACV, 2ACV, 3ACV and 4ACV), FOX then tokk those 4 seasons and split them into 5 airing seasons. Thus there'll be a discrepancy between the two types of seasons in regards to number of episodes.

It still adds up to the same number of episodes, so no "lost episodes" or unaired episodes.

Production/DVD order:
Season 1: 1ACV01 - 1ACV13 (13 episodes)
Season 2: 2ACV01 - 2ACV19 (19 episodes)
Season 3: 3ACV01 - 3ACV22 (22 episodes)
Season 4: 4ACV01 - 4ACV18 (18 episodes)
72 episodes total

Fox's actual airing order:

Season 1: 1ACV01 - 1ACV09 (9 episodes)
Season 2: 1ACV10 - 2ACV16 (20 episodes)
Season 3: 2ACV18 - 3ACV15 (15 episodes - missing 3ACV03, 3ACV10)
Season 4: 3ACV16 - 3ACV22 (12 episodes, includes 3ACV03, 4ACV03, 4ACV02, 3ACV10, 4ACV11)
Season 5: 4ACV01 - 4ACV18 (16 episodes, includes 3ACV12, missing 4ACV03, 4ACV02, 3ACV10, 4ACV11)

72 episodes total

They are not missing episodes, they are two different ways of counting the episodes, thanks to Fox not showing the episodes in their actual production order.

And you must have gotten an illegal season 1 dvd set if it only has 9 episodes.
