I recall seeing something about their being an episode devoted entirely to the Hypnotoad being included with the movies or something like that. Does anyone else know anything about this incredibly awesome development.

22 minutes XD. Sounds great doesn't it? They're gonna put it on one of the movie DVDs I think... but I also reckon they'll include special things that the hypnotoad will do, otherwise it'd get boring  :sleep: .

He appeared on The Day the Earth Stood Stupid and got his own TV show called Everybody Loves Hypno Toad, but he didn't have any 22 minute thing.

He's talking about the new Futurama episodes where Matt Greoning has said he's thought of doing 22 minute long Hypno Toad episode.

So, Hypnotoad might be making a comeback?  Cool!  Sometimes I wonder if there's any other characters on the Hypnotoad show?

Too bad you're not a mod, isn't it?

Since this thread is the first new thread that isn't some half-baked retread game that can actually support discussion, and hasn't been beaten to death, I'm inclined to leave it open.

Not to mention it's enough of a pain in the ass as is to find actual news in that thread with all the inane babble WITHOUT adding a whole other conversation to it.

Personally, this is how I picture Everybody Loves Hypnotoad, made watchable for primitive 20th century tv sets that don't broadcast mind-controlling hypnotic waves:

Uptight Roommate: Who filled the living room with stagnant pond water and swamp insects?  Wacky Sidekick, was it you?
Wacky Sidekick: No way, dude!  It was Hypnotoad that did it, fo' sheezy!
Uptight Roommate: Hypnotoad, is that true?
Hypnotoad: ::BZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZB ZBZB::
Uptight Roommate: THANK YOU FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL IDEA, I LOVE IT.  ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.
Hypnotoad: ::BZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZBZB ZBZB::
Uptight Roommate and Wacky Sidekick: SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH.

Wow do I detect a compliment? Yes I live to not suck another day. To quote Bender "OH MY GOD."

When I first heard of this, I thought it was an incredibly cheap gimmick, albeit a humorous one. I'm not to inclined to change my perspective on the matter, however, seeing the popular posture in such dissimilar position to my own, I am inclined to merely leave my mind open just enough to bother to wait for further developments. But not enough that my brain falls out.

22 whole minuts of BZZZZZZZZZZZZ? weird. I think that would be quite boring. He's okay as a small gag in an ep here or there but that's enough i think! I agree with tunni7. It would be okay as a DVD extra.

Has anyone seen the Hypnotoad extra yet? I've seen "Bender's Big Score" because my friend has a copy of it on DVD, but it hasn't been released in Australia yet, so I haven't been able to nerdishly pore over the extras yet!  :(

What is the Hyonotoad extra like? And the other extras, too, for that matter? Do they keep us Futurama fans happy?  :)

[monotone] I agree. Death to the non-believer. All glory to the Hypnotoad. [/monotone]

I noticed that the house in the beginning of "Everybody Loves Hypnotoad" is a futurized verion of the house from "Everybody Loves Raymond". It's even shown from the same angle. Hilarious!

A little before the halfway point it actually got really soothing... so whenever there was a change in Hypnotoad's antics or an advertisement came on, it startled me. Absolutely hilarious though, the whole thing.

^Yes.^ I watched it three times in the space of two days. I'm not sure if I could make it through a fourth, at least not until about a week from now. I am sure, however, that it was the groundbreaking monument of television history we were promised, and then some.

I sat and watched the whole thing without forwarding once. It was painful, a few times my eyes started wandering from the screen and I had to suddenly look back at the screen again...
