Application for the position of Manager – Planning and Scheduling

Dear Fox,
With this letter, I would like to apply for the position of Manager in your Planning and Scheduling department. I expect this position to be open. If not, please downsize the current manager as soon as possible (I’d be happy to provide you with a corporate restructuring plan).

I am 20 years old, and I have 20 years of experience watching TV. This makes me well qualified for the position. In addition, I have worked two years as a sales executive at NtK AS here in Norway, and have also passed studies on E-business strategies and web design with good grades.
My immediate plans as your next planning and scheduling Manager, is of course to buy more episodes of Fox’ flagship, the animated series “Futurama”, and providing it with a better time-slot. My thought is to keep the people happy through providing them with great comedy shows on TV, and not by having them crack jokes about Fox planning managers.

I’d be happy to hear from you soon to schedule a meeting.

Sincerely,

Richard Heggland

(This thing I've actually faxed over to them  ;) )

Dear President,

I am a 20-year old Norwegian who just learned about the horrible news on the cancellation of the animated TV series "Futurama" on Fox. With this letter, I hope you will look into this matter, as it may very well disturb international relations with various European nations and Australia. And I would also like to hear the President's reaction on the news saying that he himself may be the trigger cause of the events aforementioned. This is based on the fact that Democratic candidate, Al Gore, has had various guest appearances on the TV series.

I believe that "Futurama" has brought joy and prosperity to nations around the world in a time of much hatred and despair, and is a true symbol of the freedom and democracy for which the USA and all modern nations stand for. "Futurama" has bridged a new paradigm for the better on topics, which include racism, prejudice, negative bias and acceptance of other peoples' views and lifestyles. Therefore, it would be wise to overcome these barriers upon which we face. The world is grateful for anything the President may contribute in preventing the decline from a sound and prosperous condition.

Best wishes,

Richard Heggland

I know, but I doubted he'd ever go to the White House with it, so I did it for him. But hey, we need to do some serious lobby work anyways, so why not start at the top?
I wondered if I'd write it on official Kingdom of Norway paper and put on a copy of the Norwegian foreign affairs minister's genuine signature, but then I realized that would probably not do any good neither for the Cause nor for me personally  :)
I wonder who's next on my list. Ted Turner?
