Hey everyone,

I know we're all sick of Futurama petitions, but I've started a new one that is a little different, that I think could really help change the course of the show for the better.  http://www.petitiononline.com/FUTURAMA/petition.html
Basically, it says, Please let the censory judgments on the show be made by the creators, Matt Groening, David X. Cohen, and Rich Moore. If we can get enough signatures on this, it can be presented to The Cartoon Network, and I know that the censor panel will still look at the show, but maybe they won't be so stringent as they were last time. David and Matt in the commentaries are always talking about how much the censors don't appreciate their (and our!) humor.

anyways, thank you for your time, and if you can spare a little, please sign the petition. Thank you again,

There is so much wrong with this that I don't even know where to begin.

Ok, so maybe I do.

First, internet petitions are like degrees in homeopathic medicine: balogna.

Secondly, a network is going to run its own censors on each and every one of their shows, for legal purposes at the very least.  End of question.

Thirdly, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim only has the show until 2008.  Then the old and new episodes are going to Comedy Central, rendering this whole thing pointless since CC is much less stringent than either Fox or CN/AS.  Case in point: Chapelle Show.
