is futrama more popular to normal people than the simpsons

okay this seems weird to me. im trying to make a cartoon and i have used matt greonings style because its is the easiest to replicate over and over for animation. and evrytime im sketching new caracters in public people say it reminds them of futurama instead of the simpsons, this seems weird to me because in the scheme of things you'ed think the average person would say simpsons than futurama. is it posible that futurama is actually more popular to the casual veiwer tham the simpsons

No.Even though the Simpsons are goving downhill,tons of fans are trying to still stick to it.If Futurama was more popular,there would have been a lot more members in PEEL.
Also,the Simpsons and Futurama styles are a little different.But,seing as you're making sketches and no one can see if the characters are yellow or human colour,that is a bit weird...

I think it may be because Futurama fans are much more likely to stare over random people's shoulders and comment on what they're doing. Just a guess, though.

Well, I grew up with the Simpsons because it was more accessible to me (I only have shit tv). Futurama is more recent to shit tv (not that it is shit, of course), so I only managed to catch a couple episodes, therefore, due to accessibility, its more likely that the Simpsons is more popular.
PLus, the Simpsons has more gags that would appeal to a younger audience. I think.

I like Futurama better though.

that is true the futurama and simpsons style do differ a lil futurama characters look a lil more human but to the casual observer they really cant tell the difference,so it jus seems that mabey the casual watcher might enjoy futurama more

That's true I drew a picture of my friend Matt G style and he said it looked like a futurama character rather then the simpsons, I guess it had something to do with the color.
