The Fry/Leela story was way better than the Bender/PE ship story, and Fry giving Leela his oxygen was the best bit of the episode.  The funniest moments were the Omicronians watching Friends, and the bit where the trillions of candy hearts get jettisoned into space.  Best place for them!

after the omicronians take out theyr guns i can`t imagine how Fry, Leela and Bender achive to return to the ship, the instant change image from Omicronians taking out guns and inmediatly the PE ship being pursued by an entire fleet of Omicronian star destroyers was a big point   :D

just watched it yesterday... it was pretty good, not great, really the only thing i didn't like was the way the PE ship was acting like a regular robot. It's never done that before, it most likely never will again. Zoidberg was good at the end, too.  :D Zoidy rules.

They should do a Hallowe'en episode, that'd be pretty cool  They've done 2 Valentines Day episodes and 2 Christmas episodes so I'd like to see a Hallowe'en episode  :)
Oh and Love and Rocket kicked serious ass..it was one of the best episodes I've ever seen!  :)

I wasn't sure if i was going to like this episode but when i got the chance to watch it i really liked it. My favourite part was when the Omicronians were talking about "wuv" and bender was so funny in this episode with his womanising ways, I loved that part when hes in elzars resturant with his cheap floosies  :laff: Overall it was a good episode and had lots of gags and stuff for people who like the more romantic side to futurama.

2 problems:

1) FOX would have to show it before December (aka football season)
2) Futurama would have to be in production

It would be cool if Halloween was different in the future, Beelzebot could be in charge as the leader and all the humans could dress up as robots to go trick or treating. Just a thought, It's not going to happen though.

Like most Futurama episodes "Love & Rocket" was better the second time.  There wasn't a scene I did not like.  Especially when the Professor threatened Leela with the cattle prod.  I could use one of those for my older sisters.

That is a very, very cute scene. And it was great to see a cameo of Amy & Kif.

All the 2001-homages still hit home, even though the romance between Bender and the PE ship isn't as great as it originally was. Still a very good story, and Zoidy's voice-over in the end was great.

Leela: "Still given the chance, I've given in to urges far more shocking!"
Details, we need details!

Ah yes, Leela.

Rating is still 9/10. And let's see those uniforms back, snas those ridiculus shoulder thingys (yes, I know Sarge already told us they were outta here).

Fry: "You're my man.  Oh, so close!"

Virtually everyone wears those shoulder cresents (with a few exceptions, most notably Fry).  It's the thing that makes it Futuristic   ;)

Oh and I noticed you (Teral) saw that Leela didn't care much about the lovey bears.  Fry was the only one who showed any emotion, which seemed a bit weird.  And why didn't zoidberg and/or nibbler eat one?

Yeah, that did seem kinda strange. Leela usually is very animal-friendly (Nibbler, "Birdbot of Ice-Catraz", etc), and yet she didn't seem to care. Fry did look horrified (after a closer look), and I also expected Amy to show a little emotion. It would have been funny if Zoidberg at one point had fur between his mouth-tentacles and someone noticed they was a few lovey-bears short.

True about the shoulder thingys, but sometimes they do look rather silly. I particular noticed with Leela's Mets-uniform in "A Leela of Her Own".

i noticed Leela's lack of reaction to those animals too, it was odd, maybe she was paying more attention to where the proff and his cattle prod were in relation to her and being sure she was out of range. And did anyone notice that when Leela was eating ice cream with the ship the lights were out and there was a candle and then suddenly almost magically the lights were on and there was no candle to be found?

Strangely enough, Bender seems horrified too; maybe as much by Amy's total-denial response as what happens to the little suckers.

Leela is very animal-friendly, but also pragmatic about the violent cruelty of nature (The Problem With Popplers); her realization that these creatures couldn't exist for three seconds in the wild, coupled with the need to not beat the crap out of potential clients--and that prod--and her experiences in Bird-Bot probably sealed her lips.

Well Fry was gasping in shock over it, Leela's eye wasn't all the way open which usually signifies she is not pleased about something, Amy's mouth was very slightly turned town, and Benders eyes were sad looking (when amy said So cute!).  Fry was the only one noticably caring about it.

Actually, listening to it again (and again and again and again and.....) I have to agree with you, Venus.

Oh no, my beautiful fantasies, all ruined.  Wait, she did say she would give into shocking urges! Fantasies back on-line.

You can Love without Urges but you need urges to help express Love. Especialy in Leela's case.

Urges... hmm so just what is it that makes them lean in for those near kisses, if not urges?  ;)

Urges and love go hand in hand,

e.g if I didnt get urges my wife wouldn't be 6 months pregnant  :flirt:

And if she didn't get urges I'd go crazy with frustration  :flirt:  :flirt:

And I agree with tzlk, they WILL get together!

you are such a spoilsport  :)

just because its an animated show doesnt mean it cannot invoke emotion. Just like you can read and cry or feel all warm and fuzzy over a book you can also do these things over a movie. So why should an animated show be any different? No matter the medium, they can _always_ invoke emotion and in this case it invokes very strong emotions indeed.

Books are just text. whats the difference between the two? nothing.
They are both just representations of a story.
And isn't that funny. You telling me I need to read a book! HA HA HA!   :laff:
