THIS WAS THE BEST VALENTINE'S DAY EPISODE OF ALL ANIMATIONDOM. The first act with the Romanticorp company was great, and the robot, "My two favorite things are commitment, and changing myself." And Fry's continuous questto find that special candy heart. But, since when does the PE Ship have a lion? Am I forgetting something? The 2nd act was OK... I guess. The end was the best with Lrr and Ndunda, "This concept of 'wuv' confuses and enfuriates us!" The third act was THE BEST. There was not one moment I blinked or even thought about doing anything from the moment in the shower to the end of the episode. Fry giving Leela his oxygen was the most heartwarming thing I've ever seen in animation for some reason. And Zoidberg's end monologue was great, because I like Zoidberg. And we finally have some word about Amy and Kif with the Luvvy bears and the end. ... anyway, do you spell quazar like this? Oh well, also, I finished the guide page for this ep. See it at: http://www.geocities.com/shadowstar_freakboy/guide4acv03.html Tell me what you think. Anyway, great ep. BEST EPISODE EVER! And now, quotes from both the Simpsons and Futurama from last night. CBG: Oh, Jar-Jar. Everyone hates you, but me. Leela: I'll read your candy later, when we're not dead!

I love the episode. The Leela/Fry and Bender/P E ship moments (Apart from Bender dumping the ship) were sweet. Sigourney Weaver did an excellent job doing the voice of the ship. I love the bit where Bender tickles the ship and he sings that cute song. What’s that song called again? Oh and those bears are so cute too. Love the shooting the bears bit too. I was a bit disappointed about Bender dumping the ship. That was very harsh of him. Well that’s Bender for you.

My favorite line from the episode was Lrrr: "This concept of wuv confuses and infuriates us!"

I thought it was pretty average (and was surprised to find the Simpsons better for a change). Standing out were the Lrrr scene, Weaver and the ending. 7/10

This was a really good episode. I wouldn't rate it top-10, but it's another great example of the high quality of Futurama.
Making a homage/parody of 2001 (one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever) was great. The interface of the PE ship, the deactivation of the computer, the lipreading, "I'm afraid I can't do that, Leela", the Daisy, Daisy song, etc. Brilliant. We just needed a "Open the pod bay doors" line to cover the essentials. This alone would put it in the 8 range.
The part at RomatiCorp was funny too, and seeing them in the episode, the uniforms look pretty alright. To bad they're out. And nice with a little cameo of Amy and kif together.
The Leela/Fry thing was nice too. Especially Fry, sacrificing himself for Leela's sake was cute. Lrr and Ndnd was as always a hit.
Good ep., I'll call it a 9/10.

BTW...As I was watching Leela deactivating the PE ships memory I was wondering what the HAL 9000 computer was saying when it was deactivated?...I remember it was touching but for the life of me I can't remember what it was...

HAL: Dave...stop. Stop, will you? Stop, Dave. Will you stop, Dave? Stop, Dave. I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave.......Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a...fraid......Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.
Dave Bowman: Yes, I'd like to hear it, HAL. Sing it for me.
HAL: It's called "Daisy." Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two. (HAL dies)

Well, I'm pleased to say that 'Love and Rocket' wasn't that bad. Not great (and no way near as good as 'Put Your Head On My Shoulder'), but it was definitely an improvement on the last two episodes.
The main story itself, Bender falling in love with the PE ship, wasn't really that interesting, and at times, too stupid. For me, giving a spaceship a personality, and having it fly around a zoo just wasn't funny.
The Fry-Leela story was much more interesting, and it really should taken up more time in the episode. It may not have been as sweet as the romantic parts in 'A Flight To Remember' or 'Time Keeps On A Slippin'', but it still led to a good ending, unfortunatly spoilt in the last few seconds by Zoidberg.
Although, like the last few Futurama episodes, this one didn't really have many good jokes, there was still the occasional good moment. Bender's head getting chopped off at the beginning made me smile, as did Bender and Fry's enjoyment of a scantily-clad Amy washing the ship, 'obviously you're both ITEMS..', and the 'Bender is great' song. The only part that made me laugh out loud, though, was Lrrr's scene with the 'I WUV U' heart. Speaking of returning faces, it was nice to see those mutants back near the end, the robot floozies, and another mention of Sean.
Bad bits? Well, the heart factory scene was unfunny, too long, and fairly pointless, and the scene at Fry and Bender's appartment was just weird. The ship going nuts (including the bit where they're linked together) wasn't that interesting, either. Elzar saying 'bam' all the time is getting on my nerves, too.
Graphically, the episode was excellent, especially the anti-grav hearts scene, and the bit where Bender plugged himself into the ship.
I'm glad that the series is getting better again, and I'm really looking forward to next week's episode, just to find out more about Leela's past.
I give the episode 2.5/5.

As usual, another great episode. It was interesting to see a Season 4 production episode, brilliant writing and the concept of a spaceship in love with Bender was interesting. The episode jumped around to many different settings yet still felt coherently whole. Some really nice visuals like the candy floating around and seeing it get dumped. Lrr was as great as ever and those new uniforms were cool.
I liked it when the Planet Express ship visited Bender and Fry’s apartment. Another good thing is that the use of guest stars didn’t bring down the quality of this episode like they have done in the past. I didn't find this episode all that funny though, it had some great laughs but also some unnecessary stupidity such as the lion in the Planet Express ship. Overall a solid episode and a great ending, it was touching to see Fry and Leela so close and on the same wavelength.
