What if Fox wanted to cancel Futurama (it could happen some day) and as a big fan of Futurama you wrote a letter to them.

But what would you write?

This isn't what I would write, but this is what it would include:

1) Persuasive Language.
2) Feeling explaining my views of the show.
3) Reasoning, not swearing or telling FOX what I really think but instead putting my point across in a dignified manner.
4) Anecdotes and qoutes from other fans experiences.
5) A petition including a list of signatures.
6) My views on the benefits that FOX could have if they kept the show.
7) Why I personally want the show to continue.

It's not over yet anyway thank god!

ps, it would be a letter,(not an E-Mail).

Like Otis, my first letter would be an enthusiastic and zealous defence of Futurama. I'll write what I love about the show, the high quality of animation, the great characters, general feelings towards the show in the fan community etc. I'll put in a few words about the huge worldwide appeal Futurama has, and how many fans the show has around the globe.

But first and foremost, I'll be polite. Nothing puts off big TV execs, than negativity about their decisions. And we must keep in mind that FOX execs is way out of touch with reality, with living high up in an ivory tower and all.

If that doesn't work, and they cancel Futurama, my next letter would probably be of the sort, that would led to a restraining order, or criminal trial.  ;)

And welcome back, Mark.

Why wait for the axe?  Why not write now, and try to keep Futurama off the chopping block?  A great man once said, "Reaction is a reminder of inaction and a precursor to failure."

Howz about we do write a letter to Fox, Ch4, Sky and other channels complaining about their treatment of Futurama. A letter mighht be taken more seriously than an email.

seriously though. someone here with good communication and writing skills should write a letter, post it up both here and other futurama fan sites, let all of us sign it (with our real names, i don't think sn's will impress the Fox people), then print it out and mail it in. And by changing the header the same letter could be sent to other stations for the foreign fans.

I've written to channel 7 via email twice, and have just recieved a standard email back again, giving me bullshit phone numbers which I have called, and no information was given.
When I email them, I basically say I am inquiring as to whether futurama will be given any air time this year. I don't really pitch futurama, or say 'it's a teriffic show which should be given a chance, as it has a large fan base which is increasing, etc.' However, I think I'll just write into the TV guide, you generally get straight answers form them.
