What kind of bad feeling? I personally am just going to wait for the advertising campaign to start. Then we can be sure.

Does that make you feel better? (Squints) Or are you hiding something?  ;)

Like Kif White, this is my major concern.  I don't want to see Futurama go overboard with South Park/Family Guy type lowbrow humour at the expense of storytelling.  It's too good for that.  Hopefully with MG and DXC still in control this won't be the case.

Second. With Matt and DXC still in charge, 'Futurama' won't be going downhill. 'The Simpsons' has somewhat, but then again, Matt hardly does anything there anymore. (And I have my sources)

Arrr, I couldn't find an appropriate thread to post this exciting thing in, but it isn't worth starting a new one...

In July, Futurama is shown as a part of the in-flight entertainment system on long-haul British Airways flights ( http://www.britishairways.com/travel/ifein18/public/de_at?class=wt ).
Pretty neat, that is.

Funny thing, I've just watched that episodes two times before on TV and then the third time within 24 hours in the plane. I tried to talk to the dialogue (silently of course, but moving the lips) - man, that guy next to gave me an odd look...

I think the fact that Futurama is shown there proves that Futurama IS GREAT. Once and for all.

My source does not claim to speak to DXC or Matt Groening, but is involved with Rough Draft Studios.  This person is not affilated with FOX (RDS hates FOX to a degree) but is doing work related to the show.  Futurama is a red hot topic at RDS - there are high hopes of the series making the studio a lot of money.

I like the information in Ralph's source the best, so that's the one I choose to believe, and not just because I was programmed to believe it.

Why aren't any of the 4 new movies going to be a cinema event?  You'd think that they would be given a big enough budget for at least one of the movies to go to the movie theater.  Even if it meant that we only got 3...hell 2 movies I would still give my left foot to see Futurama in the theater with all my fellow nerd friends.

I'm almost worried that 4 movies will be too much you know?  Are we going to end up with "filler" movies before we get our resolution at the end of movie #4.  I don't want to see 90 minute episodes with these up coming movies.  I want to see actual movie plots and such.

Oh, no.  I highly doubt that the Futurama movies will be a bunch of episodes strung together.  It won't be too much.  I don't think there's going to be fillers either.  Fillers are only for those anime cartoons like Pokemon.

I honestly don't care if the movies make it to cinema or not.  I could settle for the movies to be directed to DVD.  This won't ruin Futurama, and it will not become like South Park or Family Guy.  Futurama will stay the same as it always was once it comes back.  That's the cool thing about Futurama, it doesn't have to be overly perverted or vulgar to be funny and cool.  It's awesome to hear that it's being shown on airlines, too!

I think it helps that Matt and David X. had basically the whole story of "Futurama" laid out before it was cancelled and well before it began.

It has that kind of "Original trilogy Star Wars" feel about it.  That what we are seeing is part of a bigger story and at the end it will all make sense and we are going to have one hell of a ride.  Bless you Futurama for bring back hope to TV.

So is it now gonna be the one movie and 13 episodes, because that sounds better than four futurama movies, or just 13 episodes

This has been floating around for a few weeks now.  I wouldn't get too attached to what the story line is.  I'm sure that the movie might have something to do with Bender and a take over (I can't logically disprove a negitive), but it all sounds like fan speculation to me.

I mean, Seymour?  Come on.  Having him come back (unless it was an Old New York flash back) would destory the whole point of the episode.

Besides, it's from IMDB.  Please.  Like that place is always accurate with new movies in production.

Personally, I would just wait it out until something OFFICIAL is released.  Until then, I believe nothing I hear.

As far as I can tell, the info from imdb was taken from the aicn article I linked in the same post.

Admittedly, that's not much of a step up, but still.

Exactly.  Circular reasoning.  IMDB gets a lot of wrong info because they get it from non-cited sources, and then those sources say they found it listed on IMDB.

*sigh*  I'll just wait for David or Matt to give us the official word.

Ack, 'Bender's Big Score' now has a Wikipedia entry. Need I remind everyone of this quote regarding 'The Simpsons Movie'?

We're going to put some fake plots out there just to make it interesting. - James L. Brooks

Like I said, I don't like the sound of the plot. And the name? If it's real, the writing staff can do better.

IMDB and Wikipedia.  Ahh...the most trusted name in news.  Everything found on those cites are 100% true!  Just like grandma, apple cider, and Spider-man's left testical!

Once we get official word from the crew, then I'll start reading internet links.

Yes I'm sure that's what he said on his website. I don't know when they're planning on doing the next one, but it won't be for a couple of months at least as from what I heard Katey Sagal is going to be in the UK around Dec/Jan. Myabe they won't be recording the next two until later next year.

It's interesting that they do the audio before the visual... but I suppose that makes sense for the purpose of lip-synching.

Absolutely agree. "Bender's Big Score" sounds like the name of a crappy sequel to a Disney film.

On Wiki they said the "proposed" (or something like that) name is Benders Big Score. No doubt they'll change it if they have writin a movie with Al Gore, God, Robot Santa and Morbo in it all.

All animated movies/shows record the audio first. It's not just for lip-sync but also for expression and body language. When the animators are able to hear how a line is delivered they can better animate the pose and expression of the character.
